Isaiah 38: 1-5(KJV); In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the Lord…Then came the word of the Lord to Isaiah, saying, Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.
The sovereignty of God does not remove human responsibility towards the things of the Spirit.
Sometimes, people use divine sovereignty as an excuse to sit back and do nothing; it becomes the reason for their indifference and passive attitude towards their part and portion in the gospel.
This mentality is the reason why some Christians make statements such as, “There is nothing I can do about this situation. God has already decided and may His will be done.”
God proved to us through the story of Hezekiah that He can set aside His sovereignty if a man can dare to provoke Him by prayer or when a man in humility breaks before Him.
Divine sovereignty should not be divorced from human responsibility. This understanding is why Mary provokes a miracle out of the Christ outside His time(John 2:4).
God is looking for a man who is hungry enough to redefine heavenly seasons and times by the liberties of faith; a man who will move God for the now even when He intended something for tomorrow.

Nabi Isaaya mwene Amozi yaija ah’ari, yaamugira ati: Oku nikwo MUKAMA arikugamba naagira ati: Tebeekanisa eka yaawe; ahabw’okuba noija kufa, tori w’okukira. Ahonaaho Hezekia yaahinduka, yaareeba ekisiika, yaashaba MUKAMA naagira ati: Ai MUKAMA, ninkweshengyereza ijuka hati oku ngyendeire omu maisho gaawe omu bwesigwa n’omutima oguhikire, ninkora ebi orikusiima. Yaarira munonga. We live in a dispensation where the Spirit is in us and freely available to us. The question then is, do we really know the Spirit in us?
For every covenant that the Lord makes, He makes His spirit available. With every promise made to you, the Spirit is ready to see it fulfilled.
The power of the presence of God in your life supersedes even the power of death.
Moses did not suffer from the effects of old age; at one hundred and twenty years, his strength was not abated and his eyesight was not dimmed. This was because he experienced great levels of the presence of God and of the anointing. At one point, the Bible reveals that Moses spent eighty consecutive days in the presence of God(Exodus 24-34).
I asked the Lord why Moses lived up to one hundred and twenty years without his strength abating and his eyesight dimming by reason of old age. He told me that this was because Moses was exposed to such a great intensity of the presence of God that his body could not suffer the negative effects of old age.
The presence of God in our individual lives varies in its manifestation. There are people who worship, study and live from a deeper presence than others.
When God instructed Abraham to lift up his eyes and behold the land before him, He asked him to look northward, southward, eastward and westward.
Our theme scripture reveals two types of sight. One is the sight exercised by man through his own will and ability.
Our theme scripture reveals that Moses is invited by God into His presence in order to receive his ministry.
Our theme scripture is often considered in the context of church gatherings. However, that is not the limit of its application. It also extends to the family setting.
