2 Chronicles 16:12 (KJV); And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.
The world is in the business of setting carnal options before us. It is a tragedy that some people are too eager to jump at them as a lifeline while neglecting God and His Word.
If you search the depths of some people’s indifference long enough, you will realize that alternatives are the reasons why they do not seek God.
Why bother to pray when you have millions of shillings at your disposal for the best possible medical care?
Why bother to seek Him when you have a legion of accomplished relatives to give you your next provision up the ladder of success?
Such was the folly of King Asa. So great was his indifference that not even the severity of disease could bend his knees.
Alternatives are usually taken very lightly, until you start to see their true power. Alternatives can blind you to the ever extended hand of God.
When our theme scripture reveals that in his diseased state, Asa did not seek the Lord but physicians, it means that God was waiting, expectant and ready to help Asa if only he could let go of his pride and look to the master.
Asa died at the hands of the Physicians that thought they could save him. Men today die at the hands of jobs, of rich relatives and friends, of big account balances and of prestigious social standing, all because of the illusion of alternative.
You truly must examine your life and carefully investigate the source of your security and confidence. If it is not God, it is only a matter of time before a true shaking reveals those things for what they truly are—sinking sand.
FURTHER STUDY: Jeremiah 17:5, Psalm 125:1
GOLDEN NUGGET: You truly must examine your life and carefully investigate the source of your security and confidence. If it is not God, it is only a matter of time before a true shaking reveals those things for what they truly are—sinking sand.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this Word. My trust and hope is in You. You are unshakeable, immovable and ever faithful. No matter how far I go in life, no matter the crowns, the laurels and the success, You will always be my God, my strong tower and my confidence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Mark 9:23 (KJV); Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
A story is told of an elderly lady who was asked how she could believe fanciful tales in the Bible like that of Jonah. It beats even the wildest stretches of human imagination that a man would be swallowed by a big fish, snuggle in its belly for three days and get spat out alive.
To this bit of cynical scepticism, the woman simply said, “Even if the Bible had said that Jonah had swallowed the fish, I would still believe it.”
That is the almost surreal quality of pure faith when not tainted by the jaded views of realism.
This unflinching regard for His word that borders on insanity and brushes the edges of foolishness in the mind of the world is the kind of faith that God expects from us as believers.
The Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 5:13 throws down the gauntlet before those who defy extreme faith and says, “If we were out of our mind, it is for God.”
A simple glance down the line of our forebearers in the faith will reveal a sequence of men and women accused of varying stages of insanity because they dared to believe God.
But what remarkable lives they lived! Seas parted, axes floated, walls fell and the dead were raised!
There is no escaping faith because it is the law by which we live. The greater the faith, the greater the liberty, the greater the liberty, the greater the reality of the life of God.
Make room in your spirit for crazy things because, by this, you curve your place on the great wall of faith.
FURTHER STUDY: 2 Corinthians 5:13, 1 Corinthians 1:18
GOLDEN NUGGET: There is no escaping faith because it is the law by which we live. The greater the faith, the greater the liberty, the greater the liberty, the greater the reality of the life of God.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this truth. Your Word is the standard by which we live and the pattern for my everyday living. I am above and not beneath because You said so! I do great and mighty things because You said so. I am multiplying and increasing in everything we do because You said so. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Romans 8:1-2(KJV); There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Our reality as new creatures is that we are in Christ. He not only is in us but we are in Him.
These in Christ truths paint the true picture of the life of a believer.
When a child of God understands these truths, they appropriate the law of life.
Appropriating the law of life means that they live according to the dictates of a life in the fullness of the Spirit.
Sin and death bow to such a one because the law of the Spirit of life in Christ frees us from the law of sin and death.
Understanding in Christ truths means that you give life to what is dead and things around you cease to die.
When you live within Christ consciousness, your ministry comes to life, your business pursuits come to life, your relationships come to life and anything that spells death lives outside the sphere of your influence.
Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: Acts 17:28, John 17:23
GOLDEN NUGGET: When you live within Christ consciousness, your ministry comes to life, your business pursuits come to life, your relationships come to life and anything that spells death lives outside the sphere of your influence.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this Word. Thank You for the glory that You have given me, that I in You and You in me and that we are one. I am alive to the consciousness that I am dead and the life I live is in You, for You and through You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Hebrews 9:22(KJV); And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission
In the great equation of the remission of sins, some people seem to erroneously slip in the factor of repentance while subtracting the factor of blood.
Such assume that it is repentance and repentance alone that remits sin.
The result of this teaching is that men focus so much on repentance and forget what Christ did at the cross.
The attention shifts from the finished work at Calvary to what men can do to make themselves ‘better and cleaner’ before God.
When we preach repentance and forget the blood, we lean towards the law. It is only by pointing men to the blood that we open their eyes to grace.
Repentance without the understanding of this blood was the doctrine of John the Baptist(Mark 1:4). It is what Apollos preached until Priscilla and Aquila expounded to him the way of God more perfectly (Acts 18:24-26).
What did the blood do? The blood saved us to the uttermost(Hebrews 7:25) and dealt with sin, past, present and future.
Repentance alone does not take away sin; it is incomplete without the shedding of blood. In this understanding is true liberty.
Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: Mark 1:4, Acts 18:24-26
GOLDEN NUGGET: The blood saved us to the uttermost and dealt with sin, past, present and future. Repentance alone does not take away sin; it is incomplete without the shedding of blood. In this understanding is true liberty.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this Word. I have received its understanding and walk in its reality. I believe that You have saved me to the uttermost and I have victory over sin and the dominion of the enemy. My mind is renewed and transformed in this liberty. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Romans 8:1(KJV); There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Guilt is a spirit. It is the anticipation of consequences of one’s wrongs and the reason why some Christians cannot boldly approach the throne of grace.
There are those who have received the righteousness of God and believe it; they know that they have been forgiven and that their sins have been cast as far as the East is from the West but they have never dealt with the issue of guilt.
Such people make statements like “because of my past, I do not think God can bless me with a child or a good spouse” or “because of my past, I am struggling to get ahead in life.”
To them, every present difficulty is linked to some past wrong.
That is not the language of a man or woman who has understood the blessed gift of righteousness in its entirety.
The apostle Paul, aware of his past crimes in persecuting the church and of the blood of saints like Stephen that was on his hands had to make a bold choice.
He had to hinge onto the strategic value of a selective memory and declare, ” forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”(Philippians 3:13-14).
There is no condemnation for those in Christ. Make the choice to forgive yourself and to forget the past. Look to the throne of God daily and embrace redeeming love.
Hallelujah!

John 16:8-9(KJV); And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me;
The most basic of all sins is the sin of unbelief. It is unforgivable. In fact, the reason why the gates of hell yawn open is not to swallow up imperfect men but those that rejected life when they refused to believe.
The Message Version of John 16:9 lends deeper clarity to this truth. It says, “He’ll show them that their refusal to believe in me is their basic sin.”
The refusal to believe in itself is pride and sets one against God. In unbelief, men demonstrate to God that they do not need His redeeming love.
In unbelief, men demonstrate to God that they have enough power in themselves to accomplish whatever they desire.
In unbelief, men reject the priceless gift of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Your greatest qualification in the life of salvation is your faith. Not only the faith by which you received Christ, but also the faith with which you live the life in Christ.
Everything begins with faith and you must exercise yourself in this consciousness lest you be found to offend the Spirit.
Give in faith, fast in faith, worship in faith and serve in faith.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I believe in You. I believe Your Word and Your great promises. You said that I am the head and not the tail, Lord I believe it. You said that the lines have fallen unto me in pleasant places, Lord I believe it! I believe that by Your stripes I was healed, I believe that my path shines brighter and brighter unto a perfect day. I believe. Amen.

John 10:17-18 (KJV) 17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
Our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ was not killed in the strict definition of that word. He was not murdered by men like one whose life is mercilessly taken away from Him.
History may have shown Him as a victim of the religious leaders of His time or a man of sorrows condemned to die for sins He did not commit, but He had a secret ambition, which was to give His life away.
This attitude of Christ sets a pattern of how we ought to live our lives. Your life cannot be taken from you, either by disease, accidents or at the hands of evil and scheming men.
You have the choice! Refuse to give your life to cancer, refuse to give your life to depression, refuse to give your life to failure!
Because you choose when and how to give your life, make the decision to give it to joy, give it to grace, give it to wisdom, give it to abundance!
Life and death are in the power of the tongue(Proverbs 18:21). It is your tongue that makes the choice on whether you have an early grave or reap the fruits of a long life. Your tongue decides whether you will enjoy life or live it in the corridors of misery.
You must continually declare to yourself that divine health is your portion; success is yours; increase is yours; joy and peace are yours.
Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: Proverbs 18:21, Philemon 1:6
GOLDEN NUGGET: Because you choose when and how to give your life, make the decision to give it to joy, give it to grace, give it to wisdom, give it to abundance!
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this Word. I embrace it as the reality of my life. I choose the path of peace, of increase and of abundance. My life is yielded to the great and precious promises in Your Word and everyday, I testify to their manifestation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Genesis 32: 26-28(KJV); And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
Your true blessing comes in the name that God gives to you.
Often times, some assume that the blessing comes with the new house, the impressive car, the seven-digit salary or the big business deal. That is not how God defined the blessing to Jacob.
God blessed Jacob by changing his name.
This is extremely critical because it was more than God calling Jacob something different from who he was called since birth. In fact, in various portions of scripture, he is still called Jacob but this does not diminish the importance of the spiritual name he received from God.
With the new name came a different identity. He became Israel, which means God prevails.
With the new name came clarity of vision. Where Jacob was blind, Israel could see (Genesis 48:10-20).
With the new name came spiritual strength, for where Jacob could collapse under the burden of grief over the loss of Joseph, Israel could be revived from the depths of sorrow to hope again(Genesis 45:27-28).
Every believer must have the experience that enables them to understand his name by God.
What is your name?
That name is the secret code of access to the person of God because every time you pray, there is a special way He calls you. By that name, the distinctions of His call upon your life will become clearer.
He called Abram Abraham, He called Jacob, Israel, He called Simon Bar-Jonah Simon Peter. What is your name?!
FURTHER STUDY: Isaiah 43:1, Revelation 2:17

PRAYER: Father, I am thankful for this Word. You know me and I know You. Your voice is distinctive to my spirit and I know my name by You. By this name, the realm of God is open to me in a deeper and greater way, to the glory of Your name, Amen.

Exodus 3:6,13,14 (KJV); Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God…And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you
‘My God’ is not an expression of surprise or shock. It is not a figure of speech. It is the testimony of men and women who have owned God.
God wants to share His identity with you. He does not want to only be called the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He also wants to be called your God.
Why do people struggle to pray? How come some don’t know how to talk to Him?
It is all because they have not known Him as their God. This relationship is not personal for them yet. He is known as God but He is not their God.
He is the God of their pastors, the God of their prophets and the God of their apostles but He is not theirs.
They are still looking to other men to share their God with them. They are still depending on other people’s intimacy with God. They are living under the shadow of other men’s relationship with God.
“My God” should cease to be merely a statement in passing. He must be truly yours.
Seek and understand Him as your God, because He owns more deeply those who own Him.
FURTHER STUDY: 2 Timothy 1:12, 1 Corinthians 13:12
GOLDEN NUGGET: God wants to share His identity with you. He does not want to only be called the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He also wants to be called your God.
PRAYER: My God, my Father and my Lord, I thank You. You are mine as surely as I am Yours. My life is Yours as surely as Yours is in me. My heart is Yours as surely as Yours is mine. Intimacy is the story of my walk with You. In this understanding, my communion is deepened every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you
What is God’s name? Who does He call Himself?
In our theme scripture, Jehovah God introduces Himself to Moses as “the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.”
He deliberately identifies Himself with these patriarchs.
God allows men to own Him by name because He is a God of intimacy and relationship.
He expected no less from Moses. God wanted Moses to stand before the children of Israel and Phaorah and declare that indeed He is the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob and the GOD OF MOSES.
In Exodus 3:14, He says, “I AM that I AM .” I AM is incomplete without you in it. I am the God of Peter, I am the God of Paul, I am the God of Mary and I am the God of John.
You must own Him! When you own Him, it is a testimony that you are not alone!
When you own Him, it is proof that you know whose you are!
When you own Him you fight like one who knows he is one with God!
If they ever ask you, what is the name of your God? Boldly respond with no apology, that He is the God of Ruth, of Ritah or of Jeremiah. That is God and that is His name!
Hallelujah!

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this knowledge. You are my God! What a comfort! What a blessed assurance! I know who holds my world and whose I am. When people see my life, they see my God because I have owned You like You have owned me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

John 17:3(KJV); And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent
Eternity is a world. In Ecclesiastes 3:11, the Bible says, “He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart.” The Hebrew word for world therein is also interpreted to mean, eternity.
The sad irony of Christian living is that there are those who received eternal life but the world of eternity is closed to them. They carry a life that can only find expression in another world but cannot manifest that life because their consciousness of worlds is limited to this present world.
They are those that Paul speaks of in Ephesians 4:18, who are like Gentiles, alienated from the life of God. This alienation is not because they don’t have the life but because they don’t know the world in which that life works.
They confess that they have eternal life, they sing praises about this life they carry however, they are both ignorant and indifferent to the world of eternity.
It is eternal life to know God. This means that the world of eternity starts to open up to you depending on your knowledge of God.
In Hebrews 11:3, the Bible says that the worlds were made by the word of God. Eternity is part of those worlds.
Only the Word can unlock the doors of eternity to you, throw open its windows, lead you across its streets and show you its pillars and foundations.
Study the Word with the consciousness that it is a gate to another world. Read it in this understanding. Seek intimacy with God in this wisdom.
Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: Hebrews 11:3, Ecclesiastes 3:11
GOLDEN NUGGET: It is eternal life to know God. The world of eternity starts to open up to you depending on your knowledge of God.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this truth. I embrace it with joy and walk in its manifestation. The world of eternity is open to me and is my daily reality. By this knowledge, I change this world to the glory of Your name, Amen.

1 Corinthians 15:56(KJV); The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
Critics of the grace message claim that one of the failures of grace preachers is in expressing their distaste towards sin by failing to teach against it.
They assume that once you speak about something then you impart strength to the hearers to overcome that issue. For example, if you tell someone, “Do not steal” then in hearing this, they find the strength and ability not to steal.
That is not the way it works. Our theme scripture reveals that the strength of sin is the law. Instead of stirring inner strength by speaking the law, one instead strengthens sin.
In Romans 6:14, the Bible says, “For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.” Under the law, sin is so strengthened that it takes on the place of a master over one’s life.
What God requires from us is to give men Christ, the person of the grace because it is from Him that we draw strength to overcome all manner of weakness.
The law strengthens the hold of sin while grace imparts the strength to overcome sin.
Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: John 1:17, Romans 6:14
GOLDEN NUGGET: What God requires from us is to give men Christ, the person of the grace because it is from Him that we draw strength to overcome all manner of weakness.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this Word. I receive and embrace its truth as the testimony of my life. I am submitted to Christ, the person of the grace and He alone has dominion over my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
