Condemning The Guiltless

Matthew 12: 1-7;

At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day. But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him; How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests? Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless? But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.  But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

Judge Not the Guiltless

I realized that sometimes, the spirit of religion seeks to blame the guiltless. It is easy by religion to condemn the guiltless. The disciples of Jesus went through these corn fields on the Sabbath and started to eat corn. The Pharisees judged them and Jesus asked them, ‘have you not read?’

The truth of the matter is that they had not read. They were doctors and teachers of the law. They appeared to be reading the word but they were not actually reading it.

They did not ask themselves, ‘what makes a priest break the law and remain blameless?’ What makes a priest blameless? It means that God’s dealing with this priest is not based on what he does or what he breaks and build. Rather, he relates with him on another platform.

Why were priests blameless when they were breaking Sabbath rules all the time? What was it about the priest that imputed righteousness on him even when he was wrong? Was it meant to just encourage the priest to do what he wanted to do or it had something to do with how God wanted to deal with certain people?

The Kingdom Suffers Violence

For example, many of us have read this scripture about how from the days of John the Baptist, the kingdom suffers violence [Matthew 11:12].

Why violence? It is because all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. When John came onto the scene, he appeared to be bringing in line something that the prophets and the law were not saying, hence violence came.

When John the Baptist came, his language was, ‘repent ye, for the kingdom of God is nigh.’ He was saying, ‘change your mindset because the realm of the spirit is nigh’. In other words there was a necessity for a man’s mind to change because what was coming was not to find men in their carnal minds. That is the beginning of violence because when men read the law and the prophets and relate with what is in there, because they do not even understand what the law and the prophets say, when the life of the kingdom comes and the realm of God starts to manifest, many of them get contradicted and they start to wage violence.

That violence is not from the outsiders but from within. When John the Baptist was killed, the next thing Jesus did was that he carried on the message; ‘repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ When he did this, his biggest persecutors, the ones who showed him the most violence were the Pharisees and Sadducees, religious people. The biggest source of violence in the kingdom of God is from men who have read the bible and not from men who have not read it.

Dead to the Law, No longer in the Flesh

Romans 7:4-5 says; Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

We bring forth fruit because we are dead to the law and married to Christ. When a man is dead to the law and married to Christ, he doesn’t continue to sin; because he married Christ, he brings forth fruit.

God no longer regards you in the flesh. When you were under the law, you were in the flesh. This is the kingdom; this is true repentance. It is when a man walks out of the flesh and gets into the spirit. A spirit cannot steal because it does not need a necklace. Can you lust in the spirit? Have perversion in the spirit? That seed of the spirit, the Bible says, is incorruptible. The biggest limitation for every man is in the flesh. Everything that leads men to sin is the lust of the flesh. When you became born again, that was the thing that God dealt with.

It Is A Covenant Issue

When David heard that Goliath, an uncircumcised Philistine was planning to destroy Israel, he said something very important: Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God [1 Samuel 17:36].

Many people do not respect the power of the covenant they are under.  Understand that the first victory of David was without a sword.  He did not quote a scripture. It is not that the scriptures are not profitable or important, no. He simply went into the covenant. He knew that there are certain things that he had to become simply because he is circumcised.  He had respect for the covenant under which he was. He looked at this giant and it did not matter how tall he was because of the covenant that he was under.

When Paul says, ‘brethren we are persuaded of better things that accompany salvation’, it means that when it comes to the things that follow you because you are Born Again, Paul said, he was persuaded. I have learnt that there are things that cannot happen to me, not because I prayed last night or fasted on Tuesday but because I carry a certain covenant.

The God who honours covenant was looking for a man whose eyes would open up to understand that this is a covenant issue and had nothing to do with strength and power. It had nothing to do with the fact that he was a warrior since he was young or how much strength he had. It even had nothing to do with the precision of the sling shot. The Bible does not say that David was a good shooter; it was not about the ability to shoot. It was about the covenant.

This is about more than just the sword; first understand the covenant. That is why when Saul gave him the sword and the armor, he did not take them. He trusted the covenant. I may not know how to use a sword but I am circumcised. He knew that because of the covenant, even if he was to use a small stick, it would still have killed the enemy. The Baganda say that when you are on the wrong side of fate, even a banana can break your tooth. The devil is on the wrong side!

Two Kinds of Justification

Do you know what killed Goliath? It was his sword. There are two kinds of justification. There is a false justification and there is a true justification.

Job 9:20 says; Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

When Goliath was approached by David, his words were, ‘Am I a dog?’ The question is, Did David say he was a dog? Why did he think he was a dog? He was seeking a place of justifying himself and his own mouth condemned him. The place that leads to our condemnation is when we justify ourselves without the understanding of how a man is truly justified.

Romans 8:33 shows us what true justification is. It says; who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. In this covenant that you and I have, we do not justify ourselves. It is God who justified us. Before you were formed in your mother’s womb, he knew you and called you, he had a pre-program regards you. That is why I tell people that the only reason why you can die early is if you don’t know what is in you. The bible says that God has invested too much in Israel to give up on her.

Goliath justified himself. The difference between us and Goliath is that God justifies us. In other words, I am not rich because I said I am rich. I am rich before I even say it; God did it.  That is the justification.

A Better Covenant

Hebrews 8:6-8 AMP says; But as it is, Christ has acquired a [priestly] ministry which is more excellent [than the old Levitical priestly ministry], for He is the Mediator (Arbiter) of a better covenant [uniting God and man], which has been enacted and rests on better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion for a second one or an attempt to institute another one [the new covenant]. However, God finds fault with them [showing its inadequacy]

The Christ has obtained a far more excellent ministry based on a better covenant. The old covenant was a problem because it made you faulty. In its own, it was not faulty. He could have said, ‘and finding fault with it’, but he did not have a problem with it, he says, ‘finding fault with them’. The problem was that every time that covenant would come to you, God would have issues with you. So he removed the covenant that creates issues between him and people and replaced it with the one that did not put issues between him and them.  Every time he looks at this covenant, he justifies you. He looks at it and sees you right for everything in Christ is ye and amen. It is a covenant issue.

Christ Revealed

Apostle Grace Lubega

John 21:9-13; As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread. Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught. Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken. Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.  Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.

Of the Christ Revealed

For three years, the disciples saw Jesus perform miracles; they saw him heal the sick; they protected him from the multitudes; when he was with them, he expounded on the scriptures yet he spoke in parables to the multitudes. He did all these things while they watched; they even started to cast out devils in his name. However, when he died and resurrected three days later, they could not identify him.

Let us look at another account in Luke 24. The Bible speaks of the disciples on the road to Emmaus.

And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further. But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them. And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

In the account of John, the word used for ‘knowing’ that it was the Lord  is eido while in Luke, the word used for ‘knew’ is the Greek word epiginosko.

When it was eido, the experience of just understanding that it was him, he did not vanish, he ate bread and meat with them but when he got to a point where he breaks bread and epignosis comes to their spirits, the Bible says he vanished. It means that you do not need to see him in the flesh any more if you carry epignosis.

Why could they walk with Jesus and not understand that it was him three days later when he resurrected? The Lord told me this; that the resurrected Christ can only be revealed. He cannot be taught, preached or prophesied without revelation.

The resurrected Christ can only be revealed. If a man is not walking in a relationship with the Christ out of revelation, that man has not yet understood the life of salvation or even worse he is not yet Born Again because salvation is the experience of understanding the resurrected Christ through the spirit of revelation.

Paul says in Galatians 1:11-12; But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

When Jesus is revealed, that is it. The only challenge is that we train men when they get Born Again in discipleship class to ministry class, they are committed as ministers, then we commission them without the revelation of Jesus Christ but with only the theological understanding of Christ so Christ becomes a job like any other profession in the university and not a person with whom they can relate.

Who is Jesus?  In these scriptures, we see an example of men who having been with him for three years and more could not identify him just after three days. That is why when he is praying for the church, Paul says, I never cease to pray for you that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. Why? Because he ought to be revealed. If he is not revealed, he is not personal yet.

What Do You See

[Genesis 30:31-43]; And he said, What shall I give thee? And Jacob said, Thou shalt not give me any thing: if thou wilt do this thing for me, I will again feed and keep thy flock. I will pass through all thy flock to day, removing from thence all the speckled and spotted cattle, and all the brown cattle among the sheep, and the spotted and speckled among the goats: and of such shall be my hire. So shall my righteousness answer for me in time to come, when it shall come for my hire before thy face: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the sheep, that shall be counted stolen with me. And Laban said, Behold, I would it might be according to thy word. And he removed that day the he goats that were ringstraked and spotted, and all the she goats that were speckled and spotted, and every one that had some white in it, and all the brown among the sheep, and gave them into the hand of his sons. And he set three days’ journey betwixt himself and Jacob: and Jacob fed the rest of Laban’s flocks. And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chesnut tree; and pilled white strakes in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods. And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink. And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ringstraked, speckled, and spotted. And Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ringstraked, and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto Laban’s cattle. And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger cattle did conceive, that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the cattle in the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods. But when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so the feebler were Laban’s, and the stronger Jacob’s.  And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses.

What Do You See?

Jacob had initially not asked for anything from Laban because he knew the blessing of God upon his life. When Laban asked him to state his price, he said, ‘if you want me to stay, let me have the speckled and spotted animals.’ Laban agreed but instead removed the speckled or spotted animals and gave them to his sons. When Jacob looked for the speckled or spotted animals he could not find any.

He got an idea and decided to peel rods and then spot or stripe them. He knew that the issue, was once the animal got to drink and mate, all you needed was to make it see something. When it did, it would produce exactly what it had seen.

The KJV version of Luke 1:37 says; for with God nothing shall be impossible. The Message version renders it this way; nothing, you see, is impossible with God.

It is not just that with God, nothing shall be impossible. To a deeper sense, nothing you see is impossible with God. Even if you were born plain and you want to be spotted and speckled, just sit where the water is. What do you see? At the time of conception, when the word is coming into your spirit, what do you see? When you are told that you are above and not beneath, what do you see? When you are told that you are more than a conqueror by Christ who strengthens you, what do you see?

Of Illumination

There are two kinds of illumination. The first is when light is cast on the things hidden because the spirit world is hidden. That is why for any man who sees in the spirit, you will realize that when your eyes are opening, it is as though you are trying to light up something in darkness. It is not demonic ungodly darkness but rather, God conceals these things by a certain darkness. It is not ungodly but it is for men who carry light. That is the essence of preaching salvation to us. The Bible says that if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. The moment the gospel comes to you and you believe, your eyes open.

The scriptures say that you have been given everything that pertains to life and godliness through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence. Everything you need in God is already provided for. You just need illumination.

God is Bound to Do What You See

God works by the principle of what you see. This is why if you get the story of Jacob and put it in the context of the mind of God and how He relates with us, you realize that He calls us sheep. We are His sheep and He is the shepherd. This also takes us to the primary responsibility of the shepherds- the pastors and ministers of the gospel. Our responsibility is simple- to make men see because whatever they see in conception by the waters, they will produce. It means that we need the waters, that is the Holy Spirit, and we need the power to conceive.  When he power to conceive is available and the waters are also there, just show the man- he will produce exactly what he sees.

If sheep can look at speckled and spotted rods and what they see enters their DNA and they reproduce something spotted or speckled because they looked on these rods, how much more can you reproduce when you start to see in God? That is why Luke says, nothing you see is impossible with God. That means that God is bound to do what you see. The availability of his power is distributed according to how much you are seeing.  You cannot see yourself fail and say ‘I am a success, I am a success, I am a success.’ Christians have a problem-many have a bad sight and speak positive statements to change their eyesight. That is not the life of a Christian. The Bible says that this is the spirit of faith, for as we have believed, so have we spoken. We do not speak things to come to pass. We speak things because they are. That is the mind of God. He is the God who speaks the things that are not as though they are and not as they will become.

If sheep can see speckled sticks and produce speckled lambs, you as a Christian do not see speckled sticks, you see Jesus, because you are the sheep and he is the shepherd, how can you fail? You cannot fail.

It Is Finished

[John 19:30]; When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

What was finished?

Many people think they understand why Jesus came but they actually do not. If you ask many Christians why they think Jesus came, many will tell you what they think brought Jesus or what they assume Jesus came for and some will give answers which are true but are only part of his mandate. For example, Jesus came to save the lost. That is true but there were men who went to heaven before Jesus ever existed in the flesh. Jesus came to wash away our sins. It is true but there are men who did not sin or who walked this life blameless such as babies. What then is the truth from his lips? He says, the thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly [John 10:10].

The Lord Jesus came that you might have life. His mandate was to work out the plan and process to make sure that that is possible. When he did that, he said it is finished. You are not believing God to have a good life. Everything that pertains to life and godliness has been fixed.

What is finished? The fact that you have life abundantly, to the fullness, till it overflows. Many Christians walk in the unfinished work but they live as though they are walking in the finished work of Christ.

What You Need Is Seed

[Genesis 15:1-3]; After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.  And Abram said, Lord God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus? And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.

He asked him, ‘what will thou give me seeing that I go childless?’ He meant that God first had to give him something for him to have a child. He goes on to say; ‘I have nothing, seeing that I go childless, I do not have a seed.’ He means, ‘I am childless because I do not have a seed; not because I am barren but because I do not have a seed. I do not have a job not because I cannot get one but because I do not have a seed. Give me a seed. I will get a child. What will you give me seeing that I am not married for I do not have a seed?’ Abraham just needed a seed. If he had had a seed, he would not have had to worry about a child, a car or anything. All he needed was a seed.

Seed and child look like they are the same but they are not. Listen to a man’s problem; he realizes that he has no child and that his problem is that he does not have a seed. His problem is not a child but a seed. Another Christian’s problem is a child.

Conceive Seed

In Hebrews 11:11, the Bible says;

Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

This means that with God, conception is about the seed, and if it occurs, then a child will be delivered. Through faith, Sarah received dunamis, that is the anointing to conceive seed. When she conceived seed, she was delivered of a child when she was past age. Without seed, Sarah could not deliver a child. Seed was the primary place of conception. Luke 8:11 says, now the parable is this; that the seed is the word.

If the seed is the word and the Bible says that you conceive seed and it delivers you a child, it means that men conceive seed and get jobs, men conceive seed and get married. The moment you conceive seed, ministry comes; the moment you conceive seed, healing comes. Just conceive!

So, ultimately, the issue here is how fast you can conceive the word. The moment conception takes place, you will deliver anything. The moment the word of God comes to you, you will deliver anything.

Your problem is not what you think is the problem. You might feel like you are stuck in a certain box and cannot move. Your problem is not that box; your problem is that you need seed. The Bible says that he giveth seed to the sower. When seed comes to the sower, the sower gets bread and he eats. You cannot eat before the seed. It has to be sown. I am not talking about money but about the word.

What is the Seed?

Galatians 3:16;

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

What is the seed? The Bible says that God promised Abraham. He spoke of seed and not seeds to mean many but one seed which is Christ. God did not promise anybody outside that equation. He promised Abraham and his seed.

Galatians 3:15 AMP;

Brothers and sisters, I speak in terms of human relations: even though a last will and testament is just a human covenant, yet when it has been signed and made legally binding, no one sets it aside or adds to it [modifying it in some way].

When a natural man makes a covenant/ testament or writes a will, it is usually final, what about God? When he says that I have blessed Abraham and his seed Jesus, that is it- It is final.

The Law is Late

Galatians 3:17 AMP;

This is what I mean: the Law, which came into existence four hundred and thirty years later [after the covenant concerning the coming Messiah], does not and cannot invalidate the covenant previously established by God, so as to abolish the promise.

The law came 430 years later. Let us do the math. In Genesis, the Bible says that Ishmael represents bondage because he symbolises them which are of Sinai. When Abraham was 86 years old, he produced Ishmael, but God did not agree with it. God came back when he was 99 years old and told him that the real thing was coming which was Isaac. What is 99 minus 86? It is 13. The number 13 is the number of promise that was representing the fulfillment of the true promise that God made to Abraham. This was the true promise which was of God and orchestrated by Him without any human effort to fulfill it. Jesus ultimately becomes the figure and representation of the fulfilment of the promise because he becomes the promise. How long does Jesus live in the world? For 33 years. What is 33x 13?  It is 429. 429 years later, the covenant was sealed and thus he said, ‘it is finished.’ When Jesus said it is finished, now the law could come.

It means that the law is too late to stop you. So, when they say that by the law, no flesh shall be justified, that scripture is too late for the Christian because God sealed your story before the law. There is nothing in the law that can hold back the covenant that he made through Christ. There is nothing that you can do to take away the blessing upon you. Does that mean I am telling you to do anything? No, to the pure, all things are pure but to the unbelieving and defiled, everything is impure.

He said it is finished when it clocked 429 years.  He said it is done.  Now that the law came later, it can’t change what God established. It cannot make void and disannul the promise. He did not say promises, he said promise. Which promise? The one that he made to Abraham and Jesus. This was the mystery which was heed from the ages past; the man God promised (Jesus) in you, the hope of glory. How can you not conceive? How can the law refuse you to conceive? It cannot because it is too late to refuse you.  There is no law in this world that can stand in the way of your blessing; not even gravity. No man in this world can stand in the way of your blessing and no man can frustrate your blessing. Amen!

The Liberty Of The Spirit

[Psalms 48:8]; As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it forever. Selah.

How vs What You Hear

The Bible in this scripture does not say, ‘what we have heard so have we seen in the city of the Lord.’ It could have said that what we have heard, so have we seen in the city of our Lord. It says as we have heard so have we seen in the city of our Lord.

If it was to say that what we have heard is what we see, it would mean that the total sum of how much is spoken to you is the total sum of how much you see. But here God says, as we have heard. It means that to the degree of our hearing in what is given to us, so have we seen in the city of our Lord. God draws a distinction between how and what you hear.

In the gospels, there is a place where the Bible tells us to take heed of what we hear [Mark 4:24]. This means that primarily, the witness of what every Christian receives in their soul must be aligned to divine truth. If a man says, ‘I need the anointing’, the question is, what are you hearing? When he says, ‘I need to increase in knowledge’, the question is what are you hearing?

He says, take heed what you hear. Some people think that you can listen to every preacher as long as he is Born Again. However, as you start to grow up in God, you realise that you do not listen to everybody. Anybody can teach you but you don’t learn from everybody. We have to have a place of humility to be taught by anybody and the maturity to minister comfort to those who are not necessarily teaching us, but we don’t learn from everybody. That is why when Paul is talking to Timothy, he tells him to take hold of that word of life, knowing from whom he has learnt. In this world, you have to know who teaches you and who doesn’t.

In another account however, the Bible goes deeper and says, take heed how you hear [Luke 8:18]. It is good that you are hearing the right word but are you hearing it the right way? It is good that you are hearing the right message but are you receiving it the right way? If you lose that picture, then you lose a much bigger picture.

Now then, psalms 48:8 makes sense when it says ‘as we have heard, so have we seen.’ At this point, the scripture takes us to another level; that a man cannot see if he has not understood the ‘hows’ of responding to what is ministered to him. ‘What’ pertains to the measure of the thing heard. ‘How’ is the place that presents perception in the life of the man. You will never see in the word until you learn how to hear the word because the place of ‘what’ is the one that distributes measure for you to launch deep while the place of ‘how’ is the one that distributes perception-vision in the things of the word.

In psalms 48:8, the city of the Lord is the New Jerusalem, the line of promise where men live in the fullness of all things.  That experience is not for men who only listen to the right message but for men who yield to the degree that is necessary for them to see the things that they must see because the ‘hows’ of the word position a man to the perception of the spirit through the word of God.

The spiritual realm is a place where God has created a flat plane for every man to determine their way and make it prosperous. However, because of how men do not see the way they should see since they did not hear the best way they ought to have heard even though they heard the right word, many people carry frustrations. Such frustrations are simply because of how they yield to the things of the spirit; how they yield to the word.

Milk with No Cows, Honey with No Bees

Let us study an example in the scriptures. When God appeared to the children of Israel, he told them that he was going to take them to a land flowing with milk and honey. He did not say that he was going to take them to a land with cows and bees. If he had said he was taking them to a land with cows and bees, it would have meant that they did not need to ask whether there would be milk and honey because the entities that produce those products would be available. If I give you a cow and you see that its adders are swollen, you don’t worry about milk because it is a cow.

This God who calls the things that are not as though they are says, ‘the land I am taking you into is not going to have cows or bees but I promise you that it is going to have milk and it is going to have honey.’ That is the total sum of the life of every Christian. Sadly, certain men get into that land and look for cows and when they do not see cows, they ask, ‘God why is it that I have believed you for all these years but I see nothing? I have prayed and fasted in vain.’ Having prayed, they get back to the situation and when they see no cow, they go back to God and cry that there is still no milk. To such, the reasonable explanation for them is that when God promises milk there has to be a cow or where they expect honey, there has to be a bee. Welcome to the world where milk and honey flow when there is no cow or bee but brother, it has to flow. Such is the life of the spirit. With such a mindset, I wake up in the morning and have to believe for milk where there are no cows and for honey where there are no bees. God tells me that I do not need a bee to get honey and I do not need a cow to get milk.

Others are waiting for products (milk and honey). That is why Christianity has become legalistic rather than revelational. Many people think that every man who carries the product in his spirit must have a certain process. However, God frustrates process because as you grow in the dimensions of the spirit, you realise that there are shortcuts.

A Different Spirit

[Numbers 13:27-30]; And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it. Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there. The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan. And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

Spies were reporting what they saw and Caleb stopped them immediately. He knew something was wrong with what they were saying. He instead said, ‘let us go up at once and possess it for we are well able.’ He meant, ‘Do not say we are unable. He sent us there.’ It means that God cannot send you where there is no victory. How can you say that the giants are bigger? Do you know that there are people who give excuses for why they are not a success? They blame everybody except themselves. They say, ‘I would have been this, but for my auntie. I would have done that but for my uncle.’ If what your uncle or auntie is doing to you cannot kill the kind of cow that gives milk in this sense or this bee in Canaan, you cannot be stopped. I am not referring to physical bees that you can spray and they die. What I am trying to tell you is simple; if I carry milk and you cannot see my cow, there is no way that you can frustrate me because I have an affirmation of the kind of cow I carry.  This cow is not physical but when you drink the milk, brother, you will know it is milk.

God is about to do things in your life that men cannot explain. He is going to put something upon you that people will say of it that it is not on any man but only on you. They will not know the cow that produces your kind of milk. We are going to flow in a grace whose sources men cannot explain. In the name of Jesus.

The Affirmation of Things

[1 Timothy 1:6-7]; From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

Of the Places of Our Affirmation

The Bible says that men who desire to teach the law do not understand what they say or from where they affirm. There are things you might never be able to explain but yet know how to do them. I might not know how to explain to a man how to heal the sick and I might also not carry the understanding of how the sick are healed but I must carry the affirmation in my spirit of how it works.  It is possible depending on who you are ministering to and what kind of thing you are dealing with. It is natural that certain people in this world might not have the understanding of the things they do (even though it is not a good thing) but it is okay if the man does not have the understanding but carries the affirmation. I might not have an understanding of what I give but I must carry the affirmation. When I say we are going to do such and such a thing next year, I know it is going to happen. That is the confidence that we have in Christ. When you tell someone that you are not going to die next year, you ought to know where it is coming from. It is not coming from healthy living and a good diet. Man of God, when you say, ‘I am rich, I am blessed and increasing,’ do you have the affirmation and do you carry the understanding?

The Pendulum

The affirmation of the spirit swings on the pendulum of two things. The first is the revelation of the mind of the spirit pertaining that issue; not your idea. If you have a financial issue, what is the mind of the spirit? If you are sick, what is the mind of the spirit? The place of affirmation means that you carry the revelation pertaining that particular issue. The second thing is that the man receiving it ought to carry the stability to judge matters and the knowledge to execute. I need the mind of the spirit to confirm and explain to me whatever I am dealing with but I also need the stability in the spirit to reconcile judgment and knowledge on that issue.

I may have the mind of the spirit but if I do not have knowledge and judgment to deal with the issue, the stability in my spirit, it means that I might not get the desired results. It is one thing when pharaoh has received the mind of the spirit pertaining the famine. It is another when he does not have the stability of the spirit to carry both judgment and the wisdom to execute which is why he needed Joseph.

You say you are rich, are you sure you are rich? You say that you are blessed, are you sure you are blessed? You say that you will get married this year, are you sure? You might say, ‘No. I am walking by faith.’ Really? Faith is substance. Do you have the substance to make it happen?

Look at the people who desire to preach the law. It means that they neither carry the affirmation, the stability nor the mind of the spirit revealed to them. That is what Peter means when he talks about they who are unlearned and unstable; they twist those scriptures of Paul like they do others to their own destruction.

The mind of the spirit in every child of God revealed in every circumstance is a learning; then comes the stability of things which is the place where a man is well placed in the things of the spirit both to carry judgment and the knowledge of execution.

Of the Fear of the Lord

These men who desire to teach the law know not from where they affirm and end up in endless meats and genealogies. Let me show you an example in Isaiah 29:12 -13. It says;

And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned. Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men.

Men were separated and alienated from the life of God that when you spoke of the fear of the lord, they taught it by the precepts of men. If you want to understand what I mean, ask a number of Christians why they fear God. What do you do because you fear God? You will realize that it is the precepts of men and not of God.  Now if you miss the mind of the spirit, if you are not learned in this, by the time you get to the place of stability, you might not be able to interpret and explain certain things.

There is a preacher who once said that men ought to stop sinning because God is a consuming fire. As a result of such a teaching, someone will say, I will stop sinning because I fear God. If you fear God and desist from doing something because you fear him, do you realize that it does not remove the desire to do that thing? Since it does not remove the desire to do the thing, God ups the game and tells you that if a man looks at a woman lustfully, he has committed adultery. If I do something because I fear you yet with my eyes and my mind, I have seen a woman and lusted after her, does it mean I have not committed it? I have.  It only means that I have not done it physically.

Do you have the power to deal with that from within when it is a nature issue? You cannot because it is inherent in your system.

Look at Psalms 103:3-5;

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

This is the mind of the spirit on how men ought to fear him.   Why is he doing all that? Why does he find a man with issues and just seeks to forgive all his weaknesses? What is his mind on forgiving? The answer is in Luke 7:47. It says; Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

God knows that if a man is forgiven too much, he is going to love much but if a man is forgiven little, he is going to love less. That is why in Psalms 130:3, he says; but there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. According to God, the reason why men fear him is because he forgives a lot but the precepts of men teach that men fear him because he is a consuming fire.

Israel rebelled against God every day and he smote them. They rebelled and he smote them again. He smote them and they still rebelled some more. Up to date, Israel is still rebellious. No amount of beating will change your child. A woman who is forgiven when she wrongs her husband will love him more. However, if he beats her up so that she does not do that wrong thing again, she is less likely to love him.  If you beat her up for her not to do it again, it does not mean that she will stop doing it. One day, some people get cold blooded and say ‘I know they are going to beat me but let me do it any way.’ How do you fix that? You cannot win men over by anger. You can only win them over by love. 1 Corinthians 13:8 is clear; love never fails.

I do not understand how a man can refuse to receive the grace of God. Its purpose is simple. It is to remove sin out of you without effort. They claim that we tell people to do nothing because Jesus finished it. Yes, he finished it. He said so. Just receive. He says that we which have believed have entered into rest. I am rested that I am okay. I am rested that my finances and my marriage are okay. Everything is okay.

Do I mean that in salvation there is no struggle? Salvation can either be hard or easy. Choose what you want.

The Experiences Of The Word

[
1 John 4:1-3];
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.  Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Of The Spirit of Error

John says test the spirit. He doesn’t say test what the spirit says. There is a difference between testing what the man says and testing what the spirit of the man is.

The Bible says that every spirit that says that Jesus Christ, is come, not came or will come but is come in the flesh is of God.

That is not what religion taught you. They sang songs that asked, where is he? That is the spirit of the antichrist. When they ask where God is, just stand up straight, chin up, chest out and present yourself because this is the mystery that was hidden from the ages past but is now revealed, Christ in you, the hope of glory [ Colossians 1:26-27].

1 John 4:6 goes on to say; We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

If a man is of the world, the world will hear him. The word used herein for ‘know’ is ginosko; revelational knowledge. It means He that has a perception of God, that ginoskos God hears us. People who have a perception of God, hear us.

There is something called the spirit of error and the spirit of truth. When a man is of God and another has the spirit of error, he that has the spirit of error cannot hear him. If some people do not hear you, don’t worry. There is a kind that cannot hear me because of the spirit of error. John says that they that know God hear us. I hear John. Some people do not hear John at all.

For example, John says in 1 John 3:9; whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. You should see the blogs and commentaries on that scripture. Some people even disqualify John at that point. They do not hear him. But I do hear him.

They that Know God Hear You

The question is; who is born of God? What in you is born of God? Your spirit is born of God. If your spirit is born of God, how can your spirit sin? When people question this, that is when you realise the spirit of error. John made it very simple. He said test the spirit.

In the book of Acts, we see an account of the woman with the spirit of divination. She kept shouting after the apostles, ‘these are the men who show us the way of the most high’. She said the right words. Paul heard her all the while. However, the bible says that after a while, he cast out the spirit. This was a place of maturity. Maturity is deeper than just hearing the words. It is a place where having heard the words, you test the spirit.

When a man matures in God, he just does not hear words. She was accurate but the spirit by which she said it was by divination. It is why it is important for you as a child of God to know the word. He says that these words are spirit and they are life.

If you know God, men that know God, that have the spirit of truth will hear you.

God says of Jesus, that this is my well beloved son, hear him ye. He was not telling just men and trees. He was speaking to everything around. God gave authority to Jesus. Wind could hear him and calm down. Everything was under a mandate to hear him. The only thing that can block a man from hearing God is the spirit of error. Once the spirit of error takes over a man, he cannot hear you.

Faith Redefined

The Bible says that by faith, Enoch was translated that he might not see death [Hebrews 11:5]. It means that Enoch was not made aware of death. The first place of the word is that it shields you from certain things. There are things that you can no longer look at. When the bible says that you are the righteousness of God, there are thigs that it has shielded you from.

That is why Paul speaks of the shield of faith. He says put on the whole armour of God that you might withstand the wiles of the enemy. He speaks of the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of salvation, the sword of the spirit and all these things are wonderful but then he says above all, put on the shield of faith that you might quench the fiery darts of the enemy. The word quench means you extinguish everything that the devil throws at you. There are certain thigs that you should not allow yourself to see, that when a doctor says you are about to die, you tell him, ‘doctor, you say am about to die, how come I do not see it?’  The scriptures say that they that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercies. So, because God said that, when you come into faith, the first thing He does is to shield you because he knows that what you see you get.

The Spirit of Sonship

[Deuteronomy 32:8 MSG]; When the High God gave the nations their stake, gave them their place on Earth, He put each of the peoples within boundaries under the care of divine guardians.

Of Divine Guardians

The divine guardians are the sons of God. Look at the mind of God in this regard. He gets Uganda or Tanzania or whichever country and puts his child in charge of it. However, the Christian is still believing God for a plot of land in Mukono. So you ask, what if the children of God are too many for the nations? He will create more nations for the children. Someone else claims that it seems the current reality is that the Christians are too many to own nations. It is the way it is because the church lost a certain place.   Let me tell you the mind of the spirit; if a man says that he is going to pastor a million people, it is the responsibility of heaven to make people reproduce those people. It is not the responsibility of government. It doesn’t matter how many people are in that nation. God drew boundaries according to the number of the sons of God. Now if we read this, it means that there can be more nations than presently are on the face of the earth.

Christians are still believing God for plots of land. The man to whom God said ask me of nations? God was not joking. He did not mean Kampala. That is a city in a nation. He said ask, but the Christian is asking for land and a job. You might ask again, what if a hundred of us asked for a nation? That is God’s problem to fix. It is not yours. He said ask. The problem is not God; it is you. The Bible says that with God, all things are possible. It is possible for God to create that nation for you if he has to. He can increase the birth rate if he has to.

The Gospel

We used to read scriptures where the bible says that the gospel is foolishness but men never spoke foolish stuff. They spoke stuff that was predictable. Stuff like God will give you a husband. Even the heathen have husbands. That God is going to give you a job but even the heathen have jobs and food. We want you to start speaking stuff so that men say, there is something wrong with us. I refuse to be predictable. That is what you are; an unpredictable marriage; an unpredictable job; unpredictable money on your account; an unpredictable ministry. The gospel is foolishness. Men used to hear us and the things we said made sense and they never got Born Again yet they were listening to us. It is about time we started to do things that do not make sense.

God made the earth big enough for any man to create his dream. This earth is not small. That vacuum up there is empty. It is waiting for the manifestation of you and I.

Oh yes I have a great God but I am great too. You are claiming to be down to earth, nothing before God. When a man is not Born Again and says that he is nothing, he is right, but when a man is Born Again, he is something.

Of the Pendulum of Maturity

The bible says that the first man is of the earth earthy and the second man is the Lord from above. You might say that perhaps it meant the Lord Jesus, but what does Galatians 4:1 say? It says; Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all.

He is Lord but because he is a babe, the bible says he is a child and differs nothing from a servant. This is the difference between a man who is grown in God and one who is not; that is the pendulum; it swings between nepios and teleios. Nepios is one who is untaught. That is the essence of the fivefold ministry. He gave some prophets, pastors, evangelists, apostles and teachers for the perfecting and growing of the saints into a perfect man[Ephesians 4:13].The word used therein for perfect man is teleios. The pastor, evangelist, apostle, prophet or teacher is perfecting, growing and maturing you unto a spiritually mature man.

Let us look at John 1:12-13 AMP. It says; But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name— 13 who were born, not of blood [natural conception], nor of the will of the flesh [physical impulse], nor of the will of man [that of a natural father], but of God [that is, a divine and supernatural birth—they are born of God—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified].

The Greek word used in John 1:12 for children is teknon. The definition of teknon in its simplest sense is, a direct descendant by sperm; an offspring. Teknon means you are entirely the seed of God, so according to God, you are his child 100%. That is where Christians have a problem. I have only seen it in the Christian faith where children fear to share the father’s name. They are too humble.

Let us see another term in Romans 8:14. It says; For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

The word used for sons here is huios. He says that for many as are led by the spirit, those are the ones who are huios. The translation there is that they are in a relationship. That means there is a place of becoming a child of God by reason of relationship.

You are by sperm teknon but you must cultivate a relationship with God to be huios as well. You are his child by sperm but are you his child by relationship? Do you relate with him like you relate with your father? Do you even understand what it means to have a relationship with him as your father? If that relationship is not built, you cannot claim to be led by the spirit, cannot cry Abba father and your intercession is frustrated. That is why many people cannot intercede. Their life of intercession is a myth. They are teknons without a huios experience trying to call on the father.

The Way of the Lord

A Love that Surpasses Knowledge

When God is talking about his relationship with you, he is talking of a love that passes all knowledge. God wants to relate with you at a level that is deeper than anything that a man can ever define as knowledge. There is a place above knowledge.

One time, I was carried in the spirit and was taken to a place of what men call knowledge by reason of what a man adopts either through reading or listening or any other way and I saw that there was an end to it. When the Bible speaks of knowledge puffing up, you ask yourself; ‘how can a man be puffed up in what has an end? I saw the end of knowledge and to the end of that knowledge, I saw the life of heavenly creatures which lived the life of in-Christ beings verses the heavenly creatures who never had an experience of the in-Christ.

Look at the angels for example. God has never dwelt in an angel and so no angel understands God. Even Peter says it. He speaks of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into[1 Peter 1:10-12].

Even angels have a hunger to look into certain things. These things are not in heaven. They are in a human spirit in whom God dwells. Angels want to understand how God gets into a small man and starts to work. What is salvation? What is grace? Angels do not understand grace; they do not understand salvation; they inquire; they are like students learning every day. Some people think that because the angels worship God every day, then these angels understand God. The Bible says that they are ministers to the heirs of salvation. There is something in you that they need. That is why you cannot die when you know; the Bible says you are preserved by knowledge; you cannot die when you know too much. The eyes of the lord preserve knowledge. People usually die because they do not know. You have to get to a place where it will take too much to get you off the earth because of what you know unless it is your time to leave and depart home. I refuse that you die early.

The angels do not know so they come to search out inorder to know what is in that kind of man. Even the prophets which prophesied did not understand what is in you. The bible then says, eye has not seen, ear has not heard what the Lord has prepared for us. If you have heard of Reinhard Bonnke or Benny Hinn or Deo Balabyekkubo, we are talking about something that you have never heard done by any of those men. A human heart cannot apprehend what the lord has prepared for you.

The Way of the Lord

[1 Corinthians 2:9 AMP] says; Things which the eye has not seen and the ear has not heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, All that God has prepared for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, who obey Him, and who gratefully recognize the benefits that He has bestowed].

The Bible says that God has kept these things ready for them who love him, not for them he loves. The quickest way to the deepest dimensions of God is though the lines of love. That is why he says that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.

This is a place where salvation becomes an experience and not the passive abandonment of just sitting in a chair during the service and going back home at the end of it all.  It means a man can contain the fullest and richest measure of the divine presence and become a body, wholly filled and flooded with God. You cannot tell that man that he cannot walk on water; you cannot tell that man that he cannot pass through walls; you cannot tell that man that he cannot go to Milan or Canada right now because that man carries the freedom which comes because of the kingdom.

When I went to the end of knowledge, I saw this thing called the love of the father. I realized that his primary interest was for me to understand myself in who he is; to know how I fit into him. When you are in that dimension, knowledge is lower; truth is the standard.  Truth is whether you know it or not. You can adopt by the knowledge that comes to you to know truth but there is a place where even if you did not know, you are; that is why he called it the perfection of love. He says and he says herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

When I saw this love, I understood the way of the lord. I knew ways but I did not know the way. The love of God is his way. I found myself weeping bitterly but the tears I carried in my soul were for the end of what I thought could not end. When I saw knowledge fading away before my very eyes, I wept because the spirit of revelation was the very substance of God’s redemptive power. When a man sees redemptive power fade, he weeps. Hardly had I known that he needed to show us that beyond that, there is a place where a man needs not redemption. If that man is perfectly in love, he becomes as I AM; the Christ does not need redemption.

God or Mammon

Of Hearts and Treasures

Matthew 6:21; for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also; don’t be deceived. Wherever you see a man’s treasure, there will his heart be also. Where you see a man’s investment or riches is where his heart is. You cannot say that I have a heart in God when you have not stored treasures in God.

God or Mammon?

Matthew 6:24 MSG; you can’t worship two gods at once. Loving one god, you’ll end up hating the other. Adoration of one feeds contempt for the other. You can’t worship God and Money both.

You cannot worship God and money because both are Gods and you have to worship one.  When you go to the amplification, he speaks of a place where people put trust in it. Whatever you put your trust in, you worship, whether you know or do not know.

There is someone who gets ten thousand shillings and says that they cannot give it to a poor person because they need supper.  Where is your trust? In the lord or the ten thousand shillings? Who are you serving? Who are you going to despise? Some people do it but they do not know that they do it.

Do you know Christians who live on budgets? I asked a Christian one day, ‘help me understand, have you ever budgeted for heaven? Have you ever woken up and said that I am going to win a hundred souls this year?’ If you cannot budget for God, how come you have enough time to even budget for money? How many souls have you won this year?

When you trust in money, when you examine yourself and realise that every time you have money you trust it, then trust me, you are worshipping money. God wants to take you to a place where you say, ‘I have God. Even if my account is empty, I have God. Even if they chase me from the job, I have God!’

Have you ever asked yourself how somebody can be faithful at a workplace, work every day from 8 am to 6pm  for five or ten years, get promotions and increased pay checks, has never defaulted to go to work except if there was a genuine sickness but you plead with them to come to church? How come you come on time at work but you reach late at church? Who are you devoted to?

Even if you make a million dollars every day, there has to be a place where you say, ‘no, this is God time.’ Do you know how many people have been literally stripped from worship? They work from Monday to Sunday. That is bondage. God deliver you and get you a job that can allow you to pray on Sunday. That is the bed of sorrow; the spirit of struggle.

What Makes Money Money?

What makes money what it is, is simple. By the authority of a man, a ten thousand shilling note was declared to be ten thousand and a fifty thousand shilling note was declared to be fifty thousand.  He added zeros to it and legalized it. People stand in front of banks to keep what a man invented.   They kill people for what a man invented. Families and friends blackmail each other because of something that a man created. They divorce because of something that a man wrote. If he wants to make a fifty thousand shilling note five million, all he has to do is add zeros to it. How then can you who can speak in tongues be subject to it? He said you can decree a thing. That is why when it came to the Christian, he told him, you come without money and buy because your currency is not paper. Your currency is God. If paper is your currency, then that paper is your God. What makes us prosperous is not that paper. We can be without it and still be prosperous.

Careless in the Care of God

Matthew 6:25-26 MSG; If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don’t fuss about what’s on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God.

Careless in the care of God. Have you ever seen a bird budgeting? Does it lack? No. Budgeting has to do with the God of this world; Plutus; the god of this world; that is why it’s called plutonomics; the study of money. The Lord God has not called us to manage earthly finances with a mentality of lack. That is why he became poor from day one. You do not enter salvation as a poor man trying to be rich. You enter salvation knowing that you are rich.

Take pride in God. He will look after you. If you see a man fuss over money, that man doesn’t know God and how he works.

Do not worry. I do not worry about anything concerning me. Even when you do not have a cent, walk back home not worried. That is God reality. God reality looks at the things that are not seen.

Do you know why Christians do not give? They worry about tomorrow. I have a principle. When I get to a place and the devil tempts me to worry about tomorrow, I give big. I have refused to put myself in a state where a king’s son is worried. I love it when I have to trust. I love when I am in a place where my demand is bigger than what is on that machine; I love those places. He says give your entire attention to what God is doing right now. What is he doing? Phaneroo, your home church. Tend to that, give into that, fast into that. Let God attend to your business.

Of Masters and Servants

Ecclesiastes says that money answereth all things. However, the challenge with most Christians is that they do not know how to call it.  If money is your Lord, it doesn’t answer to you; you answer to it. That scripture is for things above money. The servant answers to the master. Money answering to all things does not mean that everybody can order it.

There are people in this world who are masters over money and there are those to whom money is a master. How do you get money to your submission? It is very simple. One of the principles in the scriptures is clear; he that has pity on the poor lendeth unto the lord.

It means that when you pity the poor, you lend to God and put him in a position of serving you financially. But the poor are not just poor financially but the poor spiritually. Preaching the gospel to those people is an amount of money spent.

The bible said of Christ, ‘he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor.’ Do you think he was talking about financially poor people? He said the poor(financially), you will always have among you. He was referring to the spiritually poor. But there are people who will say they need to plan for their weekend. The gospel has far more returns than any business in this world. The blessing in giving to God is bigger than the reward you will receive in following mammon.

The Ransom of a man’s life

He says the love for money is the root of all evil and many have pierced themselves with many evils. The ransom of a man’s life are his riches.

You find a Christian suffering from chronic hyper tension. He refused to tithe and is spending on medication every week.  Tithers do not die of such diseases. The man refuses to do principles. Since the ransom of a man’s life are his riches, the devil afflicts him. Then, you find that what you were not tithing, you spend in drugs, every week. And you are happy?

Go and read about the doctor’s sign, the caduceus; it is related with the god of making profit. If you fail to profit in God, the devil makes profit out of you. You fall sick. God forbid, but either way, your money will go.

Of Tithes, First Fruit and the Seed of Faith

You claim to be under the grace and ought not to tithe. Yes you are but Jesus tells them in Luke, that you give tithes of mint and anise and cumin but you have omitted the weightier matters. He tells them, these you ought to do and not leave the rest undone. Jesus knows that the tithe is godly. It is the least for a believer.  I do not tithe, I more than tithe.

Someone is not giving first fruit but they are whining about how their friends are being promoted and they are not. First fruit is very clear. The Hebrew testimony and the word used therein for first fruit is the place where a man places ownership on that which must promote him. That is why some of you are not growing in your work places.

If you are a worshipper, was your first CD first fruit?  Why are you whining that people do not come to your shows and they do not give for your CDs? That you are a worshipper but people do not support you? Come on, a worker is worthy of his meat. Musicians, tithe. You claim that you sing but people do not give you money. What did you do? You ate the lord’s tithe; the lord’s first fruit. For first fruit, get your salary at the beginning of every year. For the twelve months, one month should not be yours. Take it to your priest. Let him cause a blessing to settle on you.

The other blessing is the seed of faith. Whatever is not enough to do something is seed. Sometimes you have to tell God that God, this is what I am going to give. Believe him to sort all else.

Be delivered, child of God. Either serve God or serve mammon.

The Present Truth

[2 Peter 1:12]; Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.

The Truth that is Above

When Peter says that there is a present truth, it means that there is a truth that is present. There are things in the Scriptures that despite there being there, some of their contexts are out of time for the New Creature.  That is why if you study the Greek word for present, it is translated to mean above, the truth that is above.

The truth is absolute. It is not relative. We are not at a place where we are claiming that your truth is not my truth. Whether you have your truth and I have my own, there is only one truth and that is Jesus Christ. But, the truth has dimensions of depth. There are certain truths that are above others and whatever is above is present.

In the Church of Christ, there are truths that became present by reason of the death and resurrection of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ; by reason of the switching of the covenant and the priest. Sadly today, in the body of Christ, Christians do not know the difference. This is why the Bible says that they err because they do not know the word and the power.

The biggest problem of the Church is the place where we do not understand the scriptures and the power of God. But do you realize that the order of the spirit is that the scriptures precede the power?  It is because the Scriptures give power. It is why the Bible calls it the word of his power; the word always precedes the manifestation of the power of God.

Peter is speaking to a church established in the present truth. The church established in present truth thinks differently from the church that is not established; one that responds to a truth that is no longer present or that is lower.

Now, you might think that I am disqualifying whatever is lower, but no, the Bible says that all scripture is profitable. Yes indeed all scripture is profitable but there is such a thing as that which is present or that which is above. There are things that were true and applicable to the men of old in the Scriptures but are no longer applicable to the Christian. However, some people have a false humility that causes them to incline to things that make them become more indifferent in the things of God because they lack knowledge.

Of The Lawful Use of the Law

One time, a man berated me, saying, ‘how can you claim not to be under the law?’  I told him that the Bible says that we know that the law is good if it is used lawfully [1 Timothy 1:8]. If a man has not understood the laws that govern the use of the law, he cannot teach the law.  It means that there is an unlawful use of the law. If you are not established in the truth of Christ, you will unlawfully use the law.

1 Timothy 1:9-10 says; Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine.

The law is not made for a righteous man. When you became Born Again, everything changed. The Bible says that blessed be the man upon whom the lord imputes not sin but imputes righteousness. The moment righteousness came upon you, you were detached from the law. Does it mean that this detachment will cause people to do whatever they want? Well that is the biggest issue; men who believe so are not really Born Again. How can you say that removing the law means that you are going to sin except if you think that you are kept by the law? That is why when Peter was speaking of who we are, he refers to us as them that are kept by the power of God. He is not talking about them that are kept by the law. He says in 1 Peter 1:5; who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. The law does not keep you; you are supposed to be kept by the power of God.

Why do they put traffic lights at Jinja Road junction? It is because they know that if they do not put them there, men are going to drive differently. Why would a man drive differently?  It is because he is led by another thing. But God says, for as many as are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God. The moment you reach the traffic lights, the spirit will tell you to stop. You do not need a light. You are the light.

Do you know why they put all these laws, it is because they do not trust men. However, love believes all things and God is love. Since God is love, he trusts you; the heavens trust you; he knows that when you get to a particular corner, you will know what to do.

Of the Righteousness by Faith

When Paul is speaking about righteousness in Romans 3:21-22, he says, But now the righteousness of God has been clearly revealed [independently and completely] apart from the Law, though it is [actually] confirmed by the Law and the [words and writings of the] Prophets. This righteousness of God comes through faith in Jesus Christ for all those [Jew or Gentile] who believe [and trust in Him and acknowledge Him as God’s Son].

One time I told people that Moses was not legal.  He was a man God worked with to show people what the law was and what Jesus was. Moses was on Jesus’ side.  Paul in quoting Moses in Deuteronomy says in Romans 10:6, But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

In Deuteronomy 30:11-14, Moses says, For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

When Moses speaks of righteousness, they think that he is talking of a righteousness by the law, but we understand from Paul that if you want to know the righteousness which is of faith, read Moses.  That is why when the Christ appears to them, the Bible says that he expounds about himself from Moses. He literally points to himself in Moses saying, ‘this is me in the law’ such that men understand that Moses was used to give the law but he himself knew the grace of God.

The ‘it’ in Deuteronomy was the Christ, but he expects that a man who understands the present truth can go in Deuteronomy and dig out this and understand that he spoke concerning Christ. Now he is saying that there is a righteousness that is independent of the law and detached from the law but Moses also attests to it.

Someone said, ‘doesn’t that imply that men should continue sinning because of the grace?’ I told the man of God that that is his problem. I did not continue sinning because the Bible is clear- to the pure, all things are pure. Don’t you know that the Bible says that he who is forgiven much loves much? Did the Bible tell you that they sin more? Don’t you realize that people do not walk in true love and righteousness because they are not convinced of God’s love and forgiveness? For everything that happens in their life, they assume that it has to do with the fact that they sinned.

We know that the law was not made for a righteous man. That is why Paul says, for you are not under the law but under grace. Some people say that you have to balance, no, you cannot balance grace and law.

Present truth. They claim that we say that God did it all and it is finished; yes it is finished. What other work is bigger than the cross? What needs to be added to the cross to complete the work? Nothing. It is why we used to sing; ‘what can wash away my sins, nothing but the blood of Jesus.’ It was not the blood of Jesus and your good manners; it was purely the blood of Jesus.
