Agreeing With God: How We Speak
The Phaneroo Devotion: Agreeing With God: How We Speak
Apostle Grace Lubega
Romans 4:17 (KJV); As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
By His very nature, God calls the things that are not as though they were. In the language of God, the things pertaining to your life are a past-tense issue. Your healing is in the past, your deliverance is in the past, and the restoration of your marriage and ministry are all past.
God does not think He will heal you in the future, He knows that He already did so. He healed even what may afflict a man’s body ten years from now.
When He speaks of His blessings in Ephesians 1:3, the Bible says that He has BLESSED us with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. In God’s language, there is no such thing as ‘I am going to bless you.’
When He speaks of healing in 1 Peter 2:24, He does not say, ‘You will be healed.’ Rather, the language of the scripture is, ‘ye WERE healed.’
What does this teach us?
Never put a future tense to the promises of God regarding any matter in your life; not only is doing so an error in the spirit, but by that, you also separate yourself from these promises using the future.
FURTHER STUDY: 1 Peter 4:11, James 3:2
GOLDEN NUGGET: Never put a future tense to the promises of God regarding any matter in your life; not only is doing so an error in the spirit, but by that, you also separate yourself from these promises using the future.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for the great and precious promises that you have given unto me. I understand the language of the Spirit and can never error in speech. It is by this very language that I possess the many blessings that You have availed to me, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

If a man is to agree with God, he must learn to possess revelation and not merely to hear and be excited by it.
Speech is inferior to language. That is why, in our theme scripture, the Lord is deliberate with the order in which He presents these two things; language comes before speech.
All things work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God and are called according to His plan and purpose.
The generation in which we are living is one of knowledge. God has availed revelation to us in depths and measures that are very humbling to the heart of a true seeker.
When the Bible, in our theme scripture speaks of the good of the land, it means that the land must be good to you.
There is a difference between being called by God and being chosen by Him. The transition from being one who is called to one who is chosen is defined by the assignment given to you by God.
The Lord is a God of seasons and times. He is not random and careless in His timing. That is why, it is very important for us as children of God to understand heavenly time and ensure that at all times, we are in the perfect timing of God.
One of the most awakening secrets of the realm of spirits is the fact that God weighs our hearts.
God has created each of us to be unique. This uniqueness manifests through the different graces that God has bestowed upon each of us in our individual distinctiveness.
The devil is the accuser of the Brethren (Revelation 12:10). It is in his nature to seek for the things that should condemn us in the eyes of the Father.
