1 Corinthians 13:3 (KJV); And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Enabling, as a behavioral shortcoming, is a vice. It is unfortunate that it is quite prevalent in the body of Christ today.
When a minister of God makes his congregation utterly dependent on him as the stairway and access door to the throne room, that is not the love for the brethren as required by scriptures but it is enabling.
If a minister glories in the fact that people call him at 3.00 am in the morning to fend off demonic attacks or they cannot pray for their loved ones until the pastor returns from his trip abroad, that is an enabler-minister.
Constant deliverance services that never empower people to stand by the power of the Word against the devil could easily be an exercise in enabling in all its destructive capacities.
If the Church of Christ still places conviction only in the ‘prophetic word’ of a man or woman of God minus the inward witness of the Spirit of God in them, then as ministers of God, we are enabling, not growing men in the faith.
As a minister, God has called you to EQUIP the saints. He has not called you to build a personality cult of people who are continuously dependent on your relationship with God.
We must teach men to know God for themselves, to understand the scriptures, to personalise their faith, to give God their attention, to fortify their spirits and to stand firm in the times of their adversity.

1 Wakorintho 13:3 (KJV); Tena nikitoa mali zangu zote kuwalisha maskini, tena nikijitoa mwili wangu niungue moto, kama sina upendo, hainifaidii kitu. Na hata nikitoa mali yangu yote kulisha masikini, na nikitoa mwili wangu uchomwe, na sina upendo, hainifaidii chochote.
Uwezeshaji, kama tabia pungufu, ni tabia mbaya. Ni bahati mbaya kwamba imeenea kabisa katika mwili wa Kristo leo.
Mhudumu wa Mungu anapofanya kusanyiko lake kumtegemea kama ngazi na mlango wa kuingia kwenye chumba cha enzi, huo sio upendo kwa ndugu kama inavyotakiwa katika maandiko; bali ni uwezeshaji.
Ikiwa mtumishi anajivunia ukweli kwamba watu wanampigia simu saa tisa asubuhi ili kutoa mapepo yaliyowashambulia au hawawezi kuwaombea wapendwa wao hadi mchungaji atakaporudi kutoka safarini pake nje ya nchi, huyo ni mtumishi-mwezeshaji.
Huduma za ukombozi za kila mara ambazo haziwatii watu nguvu kusimama kwa nguvu ya Neno dhidi ya shetani zinaweza kuwa mazoezi ya kuwezesha kwa uwezo wake wote wa uharibifu.
Ikiwa Kanisa la Kristo bado linaweka kusadikika tu katika ‘neno la unabii’ la mwanamume au mwanamke wa Mungu bila ushuhuda wa ndani wa Roho wa Mungu ndani yao, basi kama wahudumu wa Mungu, tunawawezesha, si kuwakuza watu katika imani.
Kama mhudumu, Mungu amekuita UWAKAMILISHE watakatifu. Hajakuita kujenga ibada ya utu wa watu wanaotegemea uhusiano wako na Mungu.
Lazima tuwafundishe watu kumjua Mungu wenyewe, kuelewa maandiko, kubinafsisha imani yao, kumpa Mungu usikivu wao, kuimarisha roho zao na kusimama kwa nguvu wakati wa shida zao.

An enabler is another personality trait in psychology. Enablers are people with a self-centred love. More than just this misguided love, they generally live under the deception that they can please everyone.
In psychology, there is a personality trait of persons who are victims. These are persons who perpetually consider themselves as life’s casualties, constantly tossed about by other people’s ‘selfish’ actions and by unforgiving circumstances.
One of the greatest deceptions engineered by the enemy against the Church of Christ is the thought that all light translates into perfection.
The worldly way of according merit is by looking at the experience of a person. For example, during job applications, employers seek to know how much experience one may have in a particular field.
Understanding is the retentive capacity of the human spirit. The spirit of a man does not memorise things, like some are prone to think. The mind memorises, the spirit understands.
One thing you must never forget about the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches is that they are always on the increase. Our theme scripture reveals that these thorns ‘sprung up.’
Man was created into a realm of rest. He was placed into a world where whatever he needed had already been made available by God. This rest was the only way he could enjoy the privileges of the liberties God had in store for him.
There is an anointing that operates by reason of the office one is functioning in. This anointing of the office gives one access to certain graces in God. An example of this is Caiaphas the High Priest at the time of Jesus’ death. He prophesied the fact that “one man should die for the people.” In John 11:51, the Bible says, “And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation.” This was the anointing of the office of the High Priest at work.
Humility is one of the lessons God teaches a man while He prepares Him for success.
To prepare for success, you must first count the cost of what it is you wish to succeed at.
Every time you acquire knowledge, there are tests that come to establish you in whatever truths you have come to the realization of.
