Cast Your Cares – 1
The Phaneroo Devotion: Cast Your Cares - 1
1 Peter 5:6-7(KJV); Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
God expects you to cast ALL your cares to Him; not half or a quarter of them but ALL of them because He cares for you.
He cares about your family, about your job, about your business, about your ministry, about your career, about your marriage and about every single thing pertaining to your life.
Never be deluded into thinking that His concern only stretches to a select few things on His ‘cares list’.
Why are you up at 3.00 am in the morning, brooding over that problem? Cast it to Him. Why are you banging your head against a wall, trying to find a solution to that crisis? Cast it to Him. Why do you hug some cares to yourself as though they may be too big for God to handle? Cast ALL to Him.
God wants to take responsibility for everything about you. He wants the world to look at you and understand that it is He who is in charge of your life.
It doesn’t matter whether it is too small or too big. Be bold in your approach to the throne of grace and make the deliberate choice to live completely care-free.
Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: Psalm 55:22, Matthew 6:25
GOLDEN NUGGET: God expects you to cast ALL your cares to Him; not half or a quarter of them but ALL of them because He cares for you.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. I know that You are intimately acquainted with every detail of my life. You are the God who keeps me and maintains my lot. No matter what comes my way, I know it is well with my soul because You are fully in charge. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

When David offered to fight Goliath, King Saul gave him his armour, assuming that it is what David needed. David rejected the armour because he had not proved it.
Saul, by appearance, was a choice king. In fact, the Hebrew name Saul is translated to mean “desired.” In many ways, Saul represented what the men of Israel desired as their king. By outward appearances, he fit the bill very neatly.
Saul chose men into his army by how strong they looked. Any man who seemed battleworthy and had the muscles to show for it became an immediate candidate for the army.
When we speak of trusting in the arm of flesh, some people assume that it is only trusting in other men and depending on them for survival. This is not the only angle, child of God. Trusting in the arm of flesh also involves trusting in your own self and your own ability.
Often times when people speak of sowing to the flesh or to the spirit, they in fact are referring to the results of sowing to the flesh or the spirit.
Faith has degrees. The degree of faith determines the results of your faith.
There are laws in the realm of God and one such law is the law of life.
There is so much that God has placed inside you. The Bible equates it to deep water and it is by understanding that you draw these things out.
Every believer must have certainty in the things of the Spirit. God has not called us to a life of doubt when it comes to what we can do in Him and what He can do through us.
The garden of Eden had no seasons of lack. There is no record in the scriptures that at some point in time, a certain tree would fail to bear fruit because that was not its season. It was green all year round because that is how God intended it.
