Apostle Grace Lubega
Acts 4:29-30(KJV); And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
When the disciples were threatened by the Jewish leaders and asked to stop preaching about Jesus, their prayer to God was for even more boldness to speak the Word and that more miracles may be done in the name of Jesus.
This is very different from how some Christians today react to persecution.
There are those who the moment they are threatened will call down all forms of fire from heaven.
They will decree judgment upon their oppressors and pronounce a death sentence on whoever stands in their way.
The men in our theme scripture set a different example.
When the truth you preach is questioned, ask for more boldness to speak the Word and to demonstrate God’s power.
When the disciples did this, the Bible says that the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the Word of God with boldness (Acts 4:31).
That is the way of God.

GOLDEN NUGGET: When the truth you preach is questioned, ask for more boldness to speak the Word and to demonstrate God’s power.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this wisdom. It works in me and stirs me to boldness. When men fight me, I see greater power and greater miracles. When I am persecuted, I am vindicated by Your Spirit by deeper revelations and more transformations of people’s lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
