Why we Preach the Grace: Convicted of Righteousness

Why we Preach the Grace: Convicted of Righteousness
  • Apostle Grace Lubega

John 16:8-11(KJV); And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

Our theme scripture reveals that God convicts the world of sin because they do not believe. The question then is, how does He deal with those that believe? Does He still count them as sinners?

When you got Born Again, you became a new creature in Christ and consequently the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:17-21). He does not impute sin upon you (Romans 4:6-8). Rather, He convicts you of righteousness.

The Greek word for reprove in the theme scripture is “elegcho” which is translated to mean “by conviction to bring to the light, to expose.” God is love (1 John 4:8) and love covers sin (Proverbs 10:12).God does not seek to expose or bring sin to light. He only brings to light righteousness.

Compare two parents with a child who performs poorly in class. One parent rebukes the child and says, “You stupid child, is this the best you can do?” The second parent rebukes the child and says, ‘You are too brilliant to have such scores.’

God treats us like the second parent. Anytime a believer errors in the flesh, the convictions of God are that you are too righteous to do certain things.

God does not deal with you as a sinner; He deals with you as a saint and a saint is always convicted of righteousness.

    FURTHER STUDY: 1 John 3:9, Romans 4:22-25

    GOLDEN NUGGET:
God deals with you as a saint and a saint is always convicted of righteousness.

PRAYER: Thank you Lord for the free gift of righteousness. What a mighty blessing to know that sin is not counted on me! That it is not just covered but it was cast as far as the east is from the west; that it was drowned in the sea of forgetfulness. I walk boldly in the knowledge that I am holy, sanctified and justified by Christ. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

    KUKI TUBWIRIZA UBUNTU: KWEMEZWA GUKIRANUKA

Yohana 16:8-11 Ubwo azaza azatsinda ab’isi, abemeze iby’icyaha n’ibyo gukiranuka n’iby’amateka; iby’icyaha, kuko batanyizeye, n’ibyo gukiranuka kuko njya kwa Data, kandi namwe muzaba mutakimbona, n’iby’amateka kuko umutware w’ab’iyi si aciriweho iteka.

Icyanditswe twifashishije gihishura ko Imana yemeza isi icyaha kuko batizera. Rero ikibazo ni, ni gute ikorana n’abayizera? Iracyababara nk’abanyabyaha?

Igihe wavukaga ubwa kabiri, wabaye icyaremwe gishya muri Kristo hanyuma uba ugukiranuka kw’Imana (2 Abakorinto 5:17-21). Nago ikubaraho icyaha (Abaroma 4:6-8). Ahubwo ikubaraho gukiranuka.

Ijambo ry’ikigiriki ryo kwemezwa ni “elegcho” rishatse kuvuga “ku bwo kwemezwa ngo urumuri rwawe rwake, kurugaragaza.” Imana ni urukudo (1 Yohana 4:8) kandi urukundi rutwikira icyaha (Imigani 10:12). Imana nago ishaka kugaragaza cg kumurika icyaha. Imurika gukiranuka.

Gereranya ababyeyi babiri n’umwana utagira amanota menshi mu ishuri. Umubyeyi umwe agacaha umwana akavuga ngo, “wa gicucu we, ntiwakora byiza birenza aha?” Umubyeyi wa kabiri agacaha umwana akavuga ngo, “uri umunyabwenge ku buryo udakwiriye aya manota.’

Imana idufata nk’umubyeyi wa kabiri. Igihe cyose umuntu akosheje mu mwuka, Imana imubwira ko ari umukiranutsi cyane kugirango akore ibintu nkibyo.

Imana nago igufata nk’umunyabyaha; igufata nk’uwera kandi uwera ashinjwa gukiranuka.

    IBINDI BYANDITSWE: 1 Yohana 3:9, Abaroma 4:22-25

ICYO WAKURAMO: Imana igufata nk’uwera kandi uwera ahora ashinjwa gukiranuka.

ISENGESHO: Urakoze Mana ku bw’Impano y’ubuntu yo gukiranuka. Mu iziba rya Yesu. Amen

    ETUDE COMPLEMENTAIRE : 1 Jean 3:9, Romains 4:22-25

Amen.
