Job 38:17(KJV); Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?

Death has gates and it’s shadow has doors.

These gates and doors are traits, circumstances and even people that expose you to death or it’s consequences. 

Disease is a shadow of death; there are circumstances, habits and people that lead you to it. Addiction is a shadow of death, there are circumstances, habits and people that lead you to it. It is the same with mental anguish, pain and many other negative aspects of life. 

One of the doors you must guard against is fear. In Psalm 23:4, David declares, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.”

David was in a dangerous place, life seemed against him but he refused to allow fear to control him because fear is a straight path to all sorts of destruction. 

Look at what fear did to Job. In Job 3:25 He says, “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.”

When he walked through the door of fear, he lost everything. 

That’s how terrible and devastating fear can be, child of God. Always recognise the door of fear and determine not to walk through it.

Yes, you may be in the valley of the shadow of disease, of financial distress or of career breakdown; walk away from the door of fear.

Let your blessed assurance be that God is with you. That whatever you are going through cannot overcome you.

GOLDEN NUGGET: Always recognise the door of fear and determine not to walk through it. Let your blessed assurance be that God is with you. That whatever you are going through cannot overcome you.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for this Word. Thank you because no matter the flood, no matter the fire, you are with me. You will never leave me nor forsake me and that is my blessed assurance. I rise above fear and take bold steps in faith knowing that nothing can harm me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Of Access And Revelation

Romans 10:17(KJV); So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Inner realms in God are accessed through faith. However, every level of faith is defined by a level of revelation. 

You cannot rise in faith without a corresponding level of revelation. That is, you cannot believe what has not been revealed to you. 

When the Bible says that we walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7), it does not mean that faith is the opposite of sight. Faith has eyes too. 

The eyes of faith are in revelation. Paul calls them, “the eyes of your understanding.”

This is why in Ephesians 1:17-18, Paul says, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of*him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.” 

When revelation comes, it provides the sight for you to be elevated to your next level of faith.

To Live From Eternity – 2

Phillipians 3:20 (KJV); For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

The progress of the earth, it’s seasons and it’s time are too slow for the sons of God.

Moreover, despite all of this, the urgency of heaven is not diminished by the fact that the seasons or times of the earth are slow.

Joshua had an entire army of Amorites to vanquish. By heaven, the victory was his. Heaven would never have excused him if he had postponed the battle to the next day when he had more daylight. Like a true child of God, he demanded the inconceivable, that the sun stop. 

There is so much that heaven expects from children of God. 

You will be amazed, child of God, by how high the bar of expectation of God is. These expectations cannot be fulfilled within the times and seasons of the earth.

In the earthly realm, nightfall will come and the daylight shall cease and yet heaven still expects you to continue with the battle.

That is why we live from eternity because that realm is not subject to the limitations of the earth. 

Victories are won in the realm of God because therein we are quickened; we have constant access to the light of God and have no fear for darkness.

As a child of God, you must continually exercise yourself in the consciousness that you are eternal and live from eternity.

We live from eternity because that realm is not subject to the limitations of the earth. Victories are won in the realm of God because therein we are quickened; we have constant access to the light of God and have no fear for darkness.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank you for this Word. I live in the understanding of heavenly realities. I seek victory from above because that is how I win. I fulfill the purposes of heaven and the mandate upon my life because I have this understanding.

To Live From Eternity – 1

Phillipians 3:20 (KJV); For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ

Every child of God must learn to live from eternity. This is one of the most understated truths of the Christian life. It is understated because some have erroneously assumed that eternity is a destination.

Eternity is not a destination, it is the realm of God in which you and I were born. The Amplified version of our theme scripture calls it the homeland.

When you learn to live from eternity and understand how God relates with humanity from eternity, you will find that every time you engage in earthly affairs, you will always be above and ahead of ordinary men.

In eternity, we do not wait for things to happen in order to confirm their reality. A man in the eternal realm has seen the end of all things.

Access to this realm is by faith. 

Many think of these truths as a child’s fable but it is only because they either do not believe or they do not know these realities. 

They cannot believe because faith comes through knowledge, which is the hearing of the Word of God.

Make the choice to believe!

Believe that you are ahead of any natural man. Believe that your life is in Christ. Believe that you are a spirit and that your dwelling place is in the heavenlies.

The Spirit Of Creativity

Exodus 31: 1-4(KJV); And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,  To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.

Creativity is a spirit; innovation is an anointing. 

In our theme scripture, the Bible speaks of a one Bazaleel whom the Lord filled with His Spirit to devise cunning works in all manner of workmanship.

The Hebrew Word for cunning is “machăshebeth” which is translated to mean invention. This man was gifted with creativity and the ability to invent and innovate.

It started with the Spirit of God.

This means that as children of God, we have no excuse. We have the Spirit of Wisdom who is the mother of all inventions.

There are ideas in you that the world is waiting for. There are groundbreaking solutions in you that the world is waiting for.

The wisdom at work in you is from above and not the realm of darkness. It means that your inventions can never be instruments of evil; the solutions that come from you are for the good of mankind; they change lives and they transform societies.

A Pillar Of Creation

Romans 4:17(KJV); (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Creation has laws by which it functions and has pillars by which it stands. 

One of these pillars is, God does not live in the time series of past, present, and future. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever( Hebrews 13:8).

What this means is that any declarations in the God realm are not subject to earthly time; they are already established. 

When He declared, ‘you are healed,’ it was established as a reality in the realm of the spirit.

When He declared, ‘you are blessed,’ it was established as a reality in that realm.

Some Christians struggle with manifestation because they make proclamations without this understanding. As such, they wonder why they confess biblical promises without seeing these promises come to pass.

If you must see results, then you must confess truth with the constant consciousness that you are speaking from the God-realm; a realm that is not limited by time.

The Power Of Hope – 2

Romans 8:24-25(KJV); For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Hope saves. 

In the darkest of times, hope is something that we embrace. 

Why do many people die? It might not be a physical death but families might die; businesses might die; ideas might die; ministries might die.

Often times it is because people threw hope out of the window. A hopeless man is a dead man.

Hope is what we cling to when the winds of life are contrary; it is what we embrace when everything around us is screaming failure. 

Some people think that things have to look good for them to have hope. When they say, “I am hopeful” it is because they have a small glimpse of the possibility.

That is not the Bible’s kind of hope. In our theme scripture, Paul asks, “what a man sees, why does he yet hope for?”

Are you living through the darkest moment of your life? Embrace hope, you will see the light. 

Are you at the end of your rope and have nowhere to turn? Embrace hope, the answer will come.

When you arise in hope, you flood your life with possibilities. When you reject hope, you shut the portal for possibilities.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank you for this Word. Thank you for the brightness of my future and the world you have painted with possibilities. No matter how harsh the storms of life, I choose to hope in you because there is an answer; there is a way. As I rest in you, you point me to the light; for my career, for my ministry, for my family, for my business. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 

The New Creature’s Reality

1 John 3:3(KJV); And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

The reality of a New Testament believer is that whatsoever he does in Christ is because he is what he does. 

Like our theme scripture puts it, you purify yourself because you are pure. We don’t do things to become, we do things because we are. 

The New Testament believer is not a “becoming” creature. When Paul describes you, he says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are BECOME new.”( 2 Corinthians 5:17).

The newness of your life is a past tense reality. You are already new; already divinely healthy; already favoured; already prosperous; already powerful. 

You are not becoming healthy; becoming favoured; becoming prosperous or becoming powerful.

Whatsoever you do is because you already are.

You work hard because you are a hard worker. You succeed because you are a success. You make wealth because you are wealthy. You seek wisdom because you are wise.

The newness of your life is a past tense reality. You are already new; already divinely healthy; already favoured; already prosperous; already powerful. 

PRAYER: My loving Father, I thank you for the newness of life. Every day, I embrace the reality of my life in you and of what you have made me be. I behold this life through the eyes of the spirit and yield myself to its abundance. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Power Of Hope

1 John 3:3(KJV); And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Without hope, one cannot have a purification of his spirit. This is the power of hope.

This purification is the steadfast willingness to live in accordance with your God nature. Like our theme scripture says, you purify yourself because you are pure.

If we had no hope, we would think that we are lost causes in the flesh, that no matter how much we apply the Word, we will never change. 

Thank God for hope! 

Hope is what makes the man struggling with a weakness in the flesh continue confessing and believing that he is the righteousness of God because, in that, he purifies himself even as he is pure.

Hope is what makes that woman who is in dire financial straits keep proclaiming and believing that she is rich because, in that, she purifies herself even as she is pure.

Hope is the anchor of our souls. Cling to it! Rest in it!

Without hope, one cannot have a purification of his spirit. This is the power of hope. This purification is the steadfast willingness to live in accordance with your God nature.

The Scriptures In Ink

Romans 15:4(KJV); For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

For centuries, what amounted to the scriptures was not what we have as the Bible today. Rather, it was the experiences of men and women whom God had called, encountered and used in their day. 

Some of their experiences were passed down through the years as part of Christian or ecclesiastical tradition.

But you need to ask the ultimate question. “Why were the scriptures written?” “Why did the Lord find it prudent to reduce them to ink and have them preserved for the generations to come?”

The answer is in our theme scripture. The Bible says that these things were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

The Bible is a symbol of hope to the Church of Christ. The stories therein and the victories of its men and women of faith serve the ultimate purpose of giving the Church hope.

We are reminded that mouths of lions are shut from harming a believer; that burning furnaces cannot consume us; that axes still float; that bones can still give life; that the barren can bring forth children; that the lame walk; the blind see; the dead are brought back to life.

This hope has anchored the Church through the ages; in times of persecution; in times when the gates of death yawned open; in times when the Church went underground.

Every scripture is a breath of hope. Find comfort in the Word, in the fact that history has proved over and over again that nothing is too big for God; no situation is too desperate for Him to save.

The Weight Of Mercy – 2

Romans 5:8 (MSG); But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him.

The weight of God’s mercy is in the fact that while we were of no use whatsoever to Him, He sent Jesus to die for us.

Sometimes, people are tempted to first clean up their act; temper their weaknesses and put on a facade of perfection before yielding to God because they think they must be picture perfect before God can relate with them.

That contradicts the mercy of God.

He demonstrated this mercy by seeking for you before you had any demonstrated value. 
In doing this, He offered heaven’s most precious and valued gift for your redemption.

What an exchange! 

Beauty for ashes; value for deficiency; strength for weakness; fullness for emptiness.

This is an eternal lesson to you child of God, never to weigh your value on the scales of your physical potential but on the scales of His mercy.

The God Of Mercy – 3

John 10:28(KJV); And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

The power of God’s mercy is in His determination to hold onto you no matter what you do or what you go through. 

In our theme scripture, Christ reinforces this determination when He declares that no man can pluck His own out of His hands.

He knew that there would be people who would reject you for your mistakes. He saw that there were those who would despise and cast you out because of your weaknesses. But He wants you to know that their rejection is not of importance. 

He says, “No man shall pluck them out of my hand”.

Some people think that when they cast you out then they have equally rubbed you out of God’s agenda.

No!

They assume that by rejecting you, they have also closed the doors of heaven to you.

No!

They grossly underestimate God’s determination to keep you.

Even at your lowest moment, remember that God has got you. He still loves you.
