Believe In People

Apostle Grace Lubega

Acts 15:37-40(KJV); And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark. But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work. And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus; And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.

Believe In PeopleAfter Paul’s conversion, he was treated with suspicion by the disciples. Having been a chief persecutor of those of the faith, their hesitation to admit him into their circles was inevitable.

In Acts 9:27, the Bible says that regardless of all these suspicions, Barnabas sought him out, took him to the disciples and convinced them that Paul was indeed converted to the faith.

Peter, James and John had walked with Christ. But it was Barnabas that reached out to Paul. The master had taught them how to love men when he was still in the body but Barnabas who was not named among the twelve apostles of the lamb knew better.

Barnabas was indeed a mature spirit. Years later as they planned a missionary journey, Barnabas determined to take John Mark with them, who had deserted them in Pamphylia. Paul was adamant. Because of what John Mark had previously done, he refused to allow him to accompany them on this journey. This caused a great rift between Barnabas and Paul.

Paul forgot that he had once heavily persecuted the church. He was a man with blood on his hands yet Barnabas had believed in him. All John Mark did was desert them on a mission field and to Paul, that was enough to write him off.

Barnabas was the perfect demonstration of the love of Christ. In the scriptures, we do not find any letter written by Barnabas, there is no epistle by him and neither are there revelations of mysteries spoken by him. He did not lay the foundation of the gospel but he did what the Lord and Master would have done, to leave the ninety nine and find the one lost sheep.

Like the scriptures say, ‘And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.’ (1 Corinthians 13:2).

There is a love that breaks a man to understand that our sole ministry is people. You must believe in people regardless of their weaknesses.

FURTHER STUDY: 1 Corinthians 13, 1 John 4:8

GOLDEN NUGGET:

There is a love that breaks a man to understand that our sole ministry is people. You must believe in people regardless of their weaknesses.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank you for this Word. Thank you because your banner over me is love. This love flows through me to all that are around me. It causes me to believe in men and to love them past their weaknesses. In love, I reach out to my brothers and sisters, in love I minister. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If You Do Well

Apostle Grace Lubega

Genesis 4: 4-7(KJV); And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:  But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

If You Do WellEvery man struggling with envy has two problems; they don’t know how to get what they covet and are too proud to ask how.

The first murder in the history of mankind was by a man who did not know how to do something and was not humble enough to inquire about how to do it.

God had asked him the ultimate question, ‘If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted?’

What did this mean? Envy will always frustrate access. The scriptures call it the rottenness of the bones(Proverbs 14:30). The ‘bones’ are the deepest seat of the anointing. Envy can even eat at this place in a human spirit.

Whatsoever you admire in another man is available in God, you just need to learn how to get it. All Cain had to do was to learn from Abel why his sacrifice was found worthy before God. This simple humility would have saved him from eternally tainting his hands with the blood of his brother.

Wrath is cruel and anger is outrageous but who is able to stand before envy?(Proverbs 27:4).

When you see something that a sister or brother has, remember that there is more where that came from, just learn how. Be humble enough to ask how, to celebrate the successes of other men and to honour what you want to attract.

Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: Proverbs 14:30, Proverbs 27:4

GOLDEN NUGGET:

Whatsoever you admire in another man, it is available in God, you just need to learn how to get it. Be humble enough to ask how, to celebrate the successes of other men and to honour what you want to attract.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for this Word. I receive this wisdom with great humility. I know that I have been given all things that pertain to life and godliness. I have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. I celebrate the successes and victories of others. I honour what I must attract. No root of envy can ever be found in me because this wisdom works in me mightily. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Of Seed And Bread

Apostle Grace Lubega

2 Corinthians 9:10(KJV); Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness.

Bread keeps and preserves the life of men. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ declared that He is the Bread of Life(John 6:35).

However, not all bread gives divine life. As such, the Bible speaks of the bread that was eaten by those in the wilderness and says ‘Your fathers ate manna in the wilderness and are dead'(John 6:49).

Maturity in the Christian life requires that we be able to distinguish between bread that brings life and bread that brings destruction.

The first place of making this distinction is understanding the seed from which the bread comes. In our theme scripture, the Bible says that God gives seed to the sower and bread for food.

Not all bread comes from seed given by God. Some men have the right bread but the wrong seed.

What does this mean? They know how to speak, to articulate ideas and convince men but their message is not of God. With impressive oratory power, they advocate for moral perversion and promote liberties that are against sound biblical principles.

Christians end up mixing seed because sometimes the wrong bread convinces them that the seed is right.

Part of spiritual growth is the wisdom to know this difference.

FURTHER STUDY: John 6:35, Leviticus 19:19

GOLDEN NUGGET:

Maturity in the Christian life requires that we be able to distinguish between bread that brings life and bread that brings destruction. The first place of making this distinction is understanding the seed from which the bread comes.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank you for this Word. Thank you for the wisdom that discerns sound teaching. I do not mix seed simply because bread is well articulated. I receive seed in the knowledge that it is given by God. This understanding preserves me, to the glory of your name, Amen.

The Pen Of The Scribe

Apostle Grace Lubega

Jeremiah 8:8(AMP); How can you say, We are wise, and we have the written law of the Lord [and are learned in its language and teachings]? Behold, the truth is, the lying pen of the scribes has made of the law a falsehood (a mere code of ceremonial observances).

The pen of a true scribe imparts wisdom while the pen of a false scribe makes the Word of God seem like a falsehood.

What kind of scribe are you? Are you instructed in the kingdom of heaven or do you write what your mind has reasoned?

The ability to quote the scriptures does not make one a true scribe. After all, any one can quote the Bible. Like the enemy in Luke 4 assuring our Lord that ‘It is written.’

The true scribe writes what he has heard and received from heaven. He understands the responsibility that comes with the stewardship of the mysteries of God.

The true scribe does not merely theorize the gospel. His are not hypotheses to be TESTED by time but truths TASTED in eternity.

The end of the ministry of the true scribe is wisdom. Every time men listen to you, they hear the wisdom of God, grow in it and are established in it.

God’s name be praised!

FURTHER STUDY: Malachi 3:16, Matthew 13:52

GOLDEN NUGGET: The true scribe does not merely theorize the gospel. His are not hypotheses to be TESTED by time but truths TASTED in eternity.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank you for this Word. I embrace it with joy and truth. Thank you because you reveal to me greater insights into who you are, what no eye has seen nor ear has heard. I minister wisdom in what I say because I draw from the deepest depths of eternity. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Our Reality

Apostle Grace Lubega

Exodus 26:30(KJV); And thou shalt rear up the tabernacle according to the fashion thereof which was shewed thee in the mount.

When God instructed Moses to build the tabernacle, He demanded that it be done according to the fashion showed to Moses.

Moses had to see the heavenly designs and measurements and replicate them on the earth.

God deals with us as new creatures in Christ differently from how He dealt with Moses.

God does not want you to receive merely the ‘fashion and measurements’ of any heavenly reality.

One who picks only fashions and measurements will always be wanting in the details that define the beauty of the experience.

The details are not found by men who merely visit heaven but men who live there. Our conversations are in heaven. We are seated in Christ, far above all principalities and powers.

Heaven is more than a pattern to the new creation, it is a reality of inheritance. It’s our dwelling not visitation.

Glory to God!

FURTHER STUDY: Philippians 3:20, 2 Corinthians 12:2

GOLDEN NUGGET:

Heaven is more than a pattern to the new creation, it is a reality of inheritance. It’s our dwelling not visitation.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank you for who I am in you. Thank you for the places you are taking me in the spirit that define for me a deeper reality of heaven and of eternity. Life to me is more than what I see in the physical realm. I have seen beyond the veils of time to the ages to come because that is my reality. I live life in the understanding that I am truly infinite. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Of Revelation

Apostle Grace Lubega

Malachi 3:16( KJV); Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

When people start to speak revelation, the Lord hearkens and a book of remembrance is written.

Why is a book of remembrance written?
It is written so that the wisdom of Christ by which He spoke through certain men should benefit the next generation.

There are things that Christ works in men that generations pursue after. Achievements by men outside the testimony of Christ cannot last for generations.

It is necessary for what comes as revelation about God to be preserved. Eternity understands this and has appointed scribes for this purpose.

If certain things are not recorded on the earth, the heavens will record them and one day, someone spiritual enough will access them.

This is what makes our conversations of heavenly and eternal substance.

What God speaks through you can touch many people, years from now. What God reveals to you can be sought after generations from now.

Glory to God!

FURTHER STUDY: Ephesians 1:17, Philippians 3:20

GOLDEN NUGGET:

A book of remembrance is written so that the wisdom of Christ by which He spoke through certain men should benefit the next generation.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank you for this Word. Thank you for the gift of revelation. What comes out of me lasts for generation. The earth records it, heaven records it because it is relevant for the ages to come. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

In The Footsteps Of Destiny

Apostle Grace Lubega

Luke 2:25-26(KJV); And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.

God attached Simeon’s destiny to a remarkable event in human history–the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

The Bible says that it was revealed unto him that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ [the anointed one].

There are things that God will reveal to you as things you must see before you leave the earth. These events form the milestones of your destiny.

What is that thing that God has placed in your spirit that you are yet to see? What is that thing that you must accomplish before you sleep?

Those visions prevail above weakness; they prevail against the fragility of old age; they prevail against any attack of the enemy. It doesn’t matter what the devil says and does, as long as God has spoken, you must experience those things.

That is why you must stay the course with the confidence that you will live to see the goodness of God in the land of the living.

If Simoen held onto this conviction despite his old age, you too must hold onto your convictions regardless of the tides of life. Whatever God has promised will come to pass. Whatever picture He has painted in your spirit, you will see. Whatever places He has ordained you must step into, you will go.

His name be praised!

FURTHER STUDY: Psalm 27:13, Joshua 21:45

GOLDEN NUGGET:

There are things that God will reveal to you as things you must see before you leave the earth. These events form the milestones of your destiny.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank you for my life. Thank you for the future that you have laid out for me, what I must see and do. My vision is clear, my convictions are solid and my milestones are defined. I will finish well. To the glory of your name, Amen.

A Spiritual Lineage

Apostle Grace Lubega

Genesis 1:11( KJV); And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

Every child of God has a spiritual lineage that is clear and distinct from his or her physical lineage.

There are attributes that can be passed on spiritually from one generation to the next. Faith can be passed on. Virtue can be passed on. Spiritual tenacity can be passed on.

History has proven to us that men who submitted under certain anointings lived their lives under the patterns set by those anointings to the effect that even the end of their lives were a reflection of those anointings. There is a reason why men in specific spiritual lineages fail in ministry; why some die the way they do and why others thrive and end well.

You will always be a result of where you drunk from, what you listened to and to whom you submitted to.

This principle is firmly set in our theme scripture; every plant produces after its own kind.

The great news for us is that we have Jesus Christ. In as much as we submit to spiritual authorities, He is the ultimate pattern of us all. We build ministry like He built it; we wage war like He waged war; His end is our end.

His name be praised!

FURTHER STUDY: 2 Timothy 1:5, Hebrews 13:7

GOLDEN NUGGET:

You will always be a result of where you drunk from, what you listened to and to whom you submitted to.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for this Word. Thank you for those that have gone ahead of me, that have contributed to the person that I am and must become. Thank you for the seed and spirit to which I am yielded. It is the Christ kind and of true eternal substance. I know that I will finish well because my imitations are of God and are in truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Of Fathering And Inheritance

Apostle Grace Lubega

1 Corinthians 4:15(KJV); For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

Of Fathering And InheritanceIt is one thing to grow in the Christian faith under an instructor. It is another to grow under a father.

The challenge Paul experienced with the Corinthian Church still exists today. They had thousands of instructors but few fathers.

Some mistake instructors for fathers. However, any man who grows under an instructor will never understand true inheritance.

The ministry of a father will show you how much is yours by the rights of sonship. This is not so with the instructor.

Many of the struggles of Christians in their faith are tagged to how little they have understood their inheritance in God and what it means to be joint heirs with Christ.

Why do some Christians fight and envy each other? Why do they malign and accuse fellow brethren? Many of these were merely instructed. They were never fathered enough to understand inheritance; that ALL things are theirs(1 Corinthians 3:21-22); that they have been given ALL things that pertain to life and godliness(2 Peter 1:3).

The fathering spirit elevates sons and daughters to the liberties in God. With these liberties, hearts are disentangled from the carnal quests of power.

This is why submission to spiritual authority is a pillar of Christian truth.

Glory to God!

FURTHER STUDY: Hebrews 13:17, Romans 8:17

GOLDEN NUGGET:

The fathering spirit elevates sons and daughters to the liberties in God. With these liberties, hearts are disentangled from the carnal quests of power.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank you. What a privilege and an honour to be called a child of the Most High God. I see and understand the glorious inheritance to which you have called me. I rest in the blessed assurance that whatever I need is already provided. It’s in this liberty that I live every day. To the glory of your name, Amen.

The Word In You

Apostle Grace Lubega

Romans 10:8(KJV); But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach

The Word In YouWhen you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and became Born Again, you received the Logos of God. Christ is the Word and when you received Him, you received the Word in its entirety.

This Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. The essence of preaching is to stir up what is on the inside.

What vindicates the gospel of any minister as true is when the spirit of a man that is aligned to truth bears witness that what he[the preacher] speaks is what is inside him.

He might not understand it fully but it is familiar.

It might seem complicated but it is familiar.

It might seem new but it is familiar!

This is what excites us when the Word is preached because it resonates with what is on the inside.

Glory to God!

FURTHER STUDY: Colossians 3:16, 1 Peter 1:23

GOLDEN NUGGET:

What vindicates the gospel of any minister as true is when the spirit of a man that is aligned to truth bears witness that what he[the preacher] speaks is what is inside him.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank you because I have been begotten of the incorruptible seed which is your Word. It dwells in me richly by Faith. I am rooted in it, grounded in it and soaked in it. I recognise sound doctrine because I am aligned to truth. I am a child of the Word! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

True Labours In God

Apostle Grace Lubega

2 Thessalonians 3:11(KJV);  For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

It is possible to be very physically busy and yet so spiritually idle. This is a busybody.

Busy bodies are spiritually troubled. Martha is an example of a Christian in this state. She was bustling all over the house in her desire to serve Christ whom she had invited as a guest to her home. In contrast, her sister Mary was calmly sitting at the feet of Jesus listening to the Word. When Martha complained, the Lord told her, ‘Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things…’(Luke 10:41).

In all that Martha did, she was obeying the Mosaic law. Mary on the other hand was breaking the law because the law did not allow a woman to sit at the feet of a Rabbi during the feast of Purim. However, Christ praised Mary and not Martha. Martha’s actions did not provoke approval from God because our righteousness is as filthy rags before him.

Christ is the fulfilment of the law. He is our righteousness. He has taken away the law and given us grace.

A busy body will try to build things that Christ seeks to break because he or she has not understood what the true labours in the faith are. As such, they labour in the Lord without the manifestation of the fruit of their labours.

This is the beginning of transgression because the Bible says that if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor (Galatians 2:18).

2 John 2:8-9 says, ‘Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.’

When a man builds what Christ has broken [the law], he lives a life void of the power of God. ‘He hath not God.’

Labouring in God will never be about how much you do physically but how yielded your spirit is to His Word.

This is how you make full proof of your ministry (2 Timothy 4:5). This is how to truly render accountability to heaven. This is how you do not lose the things that you have worked for. This is how you receive a full reward.

FURTHER STUDY: Luke 10:38-41, Galatians 2:18

GOLDEN NUGGET:

Labouring in God will never be about how much you do physically but how yielded your spirit is to His Word. This is how you make full proof of your ministry. This is how to truly render accountability to heaven. This is how you do not lose the things that you have worked for. This is how you receive a full reward.

PRAYER: Loving Father, it is a great and immense privilege to serve you. A man can have no better master than the creator of the universe. I serve in wisdom, with an understanding of the true labours in the gospel. My spirit is alive to your instruction. Even as I labour, I believe that it is your grace that labours through me. My reward is complete and my fruit abides forever. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Character Of A Seeker

Apostle Grace Lubega

Proverbs 25:2 (KJV); It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

It is in the nature of God to hide certain things from the sons of men. For example, the Bible says that the hidden things belong to God(Deuteronomy 29:29). In Matthew 13:35, God speaks of things that were hidden from the foundation of the world. The scriptures speak of ‘the hidden manna'(Revelation 2:17).

God does not hide things because he wants to deprive men from accessing them. He hides them because in themselves, the hidden things set any SEEKER apart from ordinary men.

There is a man who wants to know God in a normal way. There is another man who desires to understand Him to the greatest depths of revelation. There is a man who wants to read the word for a job, a family, or healing. There is a man studying the Word because he wants to understand the heartbeat of God.

Any man who is a seeker of the hidden things carries a mark of distinction in the spirit.

Every true seeker has a character that has been shaped by the Spirit of God. Before He opens you to certain realms, He deals with and in you.

God is interested in the character of the receiver because this same character will determine how much more you can access.

FURTHER STUDY: Revelation 2:17, Deuteronomy 29:29

GOLDEN NUGGET:

God does not hide things because he wants to deprive men from accessing them. He hides them because in themselves, the hidden things set any SEEKER apart from ordinary men.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank you for this Word. I thank you because it is given to me to know the mysteries of the kingdom. Thank you because you have given me hidden insight into the person of Christ. I go where angels have not trodden. I see what eye has not seen. I taste what no man has tasted. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
