Apostle Grace Lubega
John 14:16-18 (ESV); And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
A successful life of salvation is dependent on a relationship with the Holy Spirit.
Sadly, many Christians are going through life like God did not give them the Holy Spirit. They are like those whom the Bible calls godless in this world (Ephesians 2:12).
Why is a relationship with the Spirit extremely important?
It is because He was the one left behind for us when Jesus returned to the Father. When God examined the life of the Church post-ascension, the final verdict was that the Church would need the Holy Spirit. Money, power and influence were not the ultimate need of the Church–the Holy Spirit was.
In our theme scripture, when speaking of the promise of the Holy Spirit, the Lord said, “I will not leave you as orphans.”
This means that when we live our lives without the leadership, help and guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are orphans in this world.
When you pray without the Spirit, you pray as an orphan; when you study the Word without the Spirit, you do so as an orphan; when you minister without the Spirit, you do so as an orphan; when you do your job without the Spirit, you do so as an orphan.
God has sealed you with His Spirit (Ephesians 1:13) and has made Him available to you so that He can live life through you. He is the primary need of every child of God.

GOLDEN NUGGET: God has sealed you with His Spirit and has made Him available to you so that He can live life through you. He is the primary need of every child of God.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for the gift of Your Spirit. He is my guide and my friend and all that I ever needed. I look to Him, depend on Him and listen to His instructions. I am attentive to His every conviction. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
