Apostle Grace Lubega
Matthew 16: 15-18 (KJV); He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
I am a student of Church history and have studied the lives of the great men and women of God of the past to understand the patterns that defined their lives.
One of the things I have come to understand is that no man or woman has been used by God without that man having received a specific revelation of the person of Jesus Christ.
This was the experience of Peter in our theme scripture.
It was important to our Lord and Master that Peter had a revelation of who Jesus was before the great declaration that he would be the rock upon which the Church would be built.
That was the revelation to Peter, what about yours?
The truth of the matter is that there is more to our Lord than the fact that He is Christ, the son of the Living God. In Hebrews 5:11, in speaking of Melchizedek, Paul said that he had many things to say about Melchizedek, which things were hard to even utter.
That specific revelation that God will reveal to your spirit is what forms your message to your generation and the testimony by which you will be remembered for ages to come.

GOLDEN NUGGET: One of the things I have come to understand is that no man or woman has been used by God without that man having received a specific revelation of the person of Jesus Christ.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for the indescribable gift of Jesus Christ, for the bottomlessness of His person and how unfathomable His riches are. In my quest to understand You, I drink from the deepest wells and draw from the purest springs, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
