Apostle Grace Lubega
Mark 8:36-37 (KJV); For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Every man in this world has a price tag.
It means that if a bargain is to be made for his soul, there are things that he will define as his price.
There are men in this world who have sold their souls to the devil. There was a price attached. Some did so knowingly, others unknowingly.
Ultimately, what a man defines as pleasure and life is what he will give for his soul.
To some, it was power and influence and they sold their souls for it. To some, it was material possessions and the corruptible riches of this world and they sold their souls for these.
The good news for us as children of God is that our price was determined and paid for by Christ at Calvary.
However, when we choose to invest our time in pleasurable pursuits at the expense of the relationship we have with God, that is a transaction. When we make the pursuit of money a priority over service and communion with God, that is a transaction.
We cannot live like men who were not purchased by blood. We must more than ever invest our lives to know and understand He who purchased us.

GOLDEN NUGGET: What a man defines as pleasure and life is what he will give for his soul.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this knowledge. Thank You for paying the ultimate price for my soul. Because I was bought, my soul was already exchanged. I choose to invest in eternity because that is the sure guarantee of a life that is worth living. I embrace your wisdom and run the race that You have set before me, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
