Apostle Grace Lubega
Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV): “But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”

The Bible teaches that since we live in the Spirit, we must also walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:25). It is important for a believer to learn how to walk before he runs or flies in the Spirit because this is the order ordained by God. When a man ignores this order, it affects his stability as he grows in the things of God.
But what does it mean to walk in the Spirit?
Walking speaks of steadiness, and consistency in applying the principles of God. It is the place where a man learns these principles and commits himself to practising them faithfully.
If a man struggles with the basics of spiritual life such as prayer, fasting, giving, service, fellowship, and the study of the Word, then he has not yet learnt to walk well in the realm of the Spirit. If his spiritual life is inconsistent, strong today and careless tomorrow, yielded this week and distracted the next, then he has not yet learned to walk.
In this place of walking, character is formed and the believer is trained in obedience. He learns how God leads, how God corrects and how God speaks.
Beloved, before great flights in the Spirit, there must be discipline in the basics. Consistency is the foundation of momentum that propels us into running or flying. So, be diligent and disciplined in the principles of this gospel.
As you gain mastery in your walk, you will be established, strengthened, and prepared for greater dimensions in God. Hallelujah!

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for the life to which I have been invited. You teach me to walk faithfully in Your ways. I am established in prayer, in the Word, in service, in obedience, and in fellowship with You. Where I have been inconsistent, strengthen me by Your grace. Where I have stumbled, lift me by Your mercy. I grow in stability each day, to the glory of Your name, Amen.
