Apostle Grace Lubega
Luke 19:1-5 (KJV); And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for today I must abide at thy house.
Life can offer a man enough reasons not to seek God. He may have too many troubles or is too busy with family and a job.
But the Lord has made an indelible promise to us that whoever seeks Him shall find Him if he seeks Him with all his heart (Jeremiah 29:13). Seeking God then is primarily a heart issue.
If you have not seen Him, then you must ask how vested your heart is in seeking Him.
Look at Zacchaeus. This was the chief among the publicans, he was not a man with much admirable morality in his day. Most importantly, he was not a new creature in Christ with the Holy Spirit to lead and to guide him.
But in his zeal to see the Master, he had the wisdom to climb a tree. How much more you? There is a way you can want Him.
If you feel far from Him or that the degree of His presence in your life is not as it ought to be, then the answer is that you may not want Him badly enough. Everyone who seeks finds (Matthew 7:8).
If Zacchaeus climbed a tree, what have you done in hunger for God? Divine hunger is not an abstract concept that we sing about in songs or speak about based on sentiment without revelation.
Divine hunger is an experience that drives men to great lengths to see the God they seek. Hallelujah!

GOLDEN NUGGET: Divine hunger is an experience that drives men to great lengths to see the God they seek.
PRAYER: Loving Father, thank You for the hunger that You stir in my spirit. It is born of my experiences with You because the more I know You, the more I want to know You. My heart pants after You and responds to the convictions of Your Spirit. I am a lover of Your presence because it is truly heaven to me, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
