Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken hitherto. Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him. And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.
There are situations in life that require us to pray through them. In such matters, it is not enough to pray and hope for the answer.
Hannah found herself in one such situation. She was tired of her state of childlessness and she was utterly frustrated by the constant mockery by her co-wife Penninah.
Because she needed change, she decided to pray through this matter until she got an answer. In our theme scripture, the Bible says that after her prayer, she went her way, ate and her countenance was no more sad.
This was the attitude of a woman who had prayed through barrenness and seen the light of a fruitful womb.
When you pray through, you leave the presence of God with an assurance that it is done.
Here are some of the signs that you have prayed through a matter: a deep sense of peace, a great sense of joy or even the voice of God assuring you that it is well.
Praying through is part of the wisdom of prayer and an art in warfare you must learn and understand.

Usimdhanie mjakazi wako kuwa ni mwanamke asiyefaa kitu; kwa kuwa katika wingi wa kuugua kwangu na kusikitika kwangu ndivyo nilivyonena hata sasa. Ndipo Eli akajibu, akasema, Enenda kwa amani; na Mungu wa Israeli akujalie haja yako uliyomwomba. Naye akasema, Mjakazi wako na aone kibali machoni pako. Basi huyo mwanamke akaenda zake, naye akala chakula, wala uso wake haukukunjamana tena.
Kuna hali maishani zinazotuhitaji tuombe kupitia kwazo. Katika mambo kama hayo, haitoshi kusali na kutumainia jibu.
Hana alijikuta katika hali moja kama hiyo. Alichoshwa na hali yake ya kutokuwa na mtoto na kukatishwa tamaa kabisa na dhihaka za mara kwa mara na mke mwenzake Penina.
Kwa sababu alihitaji mabadiliko, aliamua kusali kupitia jambo hili hadi apate jibu. Katika andiko letu kuu, Biblia inasema kwamba baada ya maombi yake, alienda zake, akala na uso wake haukuwa na huzuni tena.
Huu ulikuwa ni mtazamo wa mwanamke ambaye alikuwa ameomba kupitia utasa na kuona mwanga wa tumbo la uzazi.
Unapoomba kupitia, waacha uwepo wa Mungu ukiwa na uhakika kwamba imekamilika.
Hii ndiyo baadhi ya ishara kwamba umeomba kupitia jambo fulani: hisia ya kina ya amani, hisia kubwa ya furaha au hata sauti ya Mungu kukuhakikishia kwamba ni sawa.
Kuomba kupitia ni sehemu ya hekima ya maombi na sanaa katika vita lazima ambayo ujifunze na kuelewa.
