Apostle Grace Lubega
Philippians 4:6 (KJV); Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
The prayer of thanksgiving is the true prayer of faith. This is because when someone prays in thanksgiving, it is because they see the end result of their prayer.
Thus, Thanksgiving is not merely a confession of the things that you want to see. It is more than saying, “Lord I thank you because You have healed me. Lord, I thank You for the growth of my ministry. Lord, I thank You for the restoration of my relationships.”
It is the utterance of a man who has seen his healing and thanks God for what he sees. It is the prayer of a man who sees his ministry grow and thanks God for what he has seen. It is the prayer of a man who sees restoration in his relationships and then thanks God for what he beholds.
Some men’s prayers are begging sessions. Why beg in your father’s house? God does not expect us to beg, He expects us to ask with boldness. A man who prays in thanksgiving can never beg.
In praying with thanksgiving, always remember that our gratitude to God is not a blind gratitude but a result of what we see by faith.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this Word. In prayer, I behold the results of my desires. I know that You always hear me. I pray with the confidence of one who knows that whatsoever I ask, I receive. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
