Apostle Grace Lubega
Ecclesiastes 7:12 (BSB); For wisdom, like money, is a shelter, and the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of its owner.
Often, the Church looks at the Word only in light of its creative force. Indeed, this is important because tremendous power is available for us to create through the Word.
However, God wants us to look past creation to wisdom. This is because it is possible to create something with the Word but not have the wisdom to indulge in and enjoy one’s creations.
For example, by the power of the Word, one may create a great business. Sadly, this same business that came into being by the Word, may lead to the man’s downfall. He may get lost in the material wealth that comes with it and lose his family, his integrity or even his sanity.
A man may create a thriving ministry but not have the ability to preserve it. What he creates may eventually lead him down the path of despair because he did not anticipate its demands on his emotions and his time.
How can such a tragedy come along? It is because creation is not preservation. Simply because something has come into being does not mean that you can preserve it or you can be preserved by it. Preservation is in the realm of wisdom.
In Ecclesiastes 7:12 (NIV), the Bible says that wisdom preserves those who have it. Wisdom will keep you sane at the helm of fame; wisdom will keep the light within you burning brighter than the light outside you; wisdom will keep you from succumbing to the folly of men that taste greatness but do not have the character to sustain greatness and to be sustained by that greatness.
Even as you create, seek the wisdom that preserves!

GOLDEN NUGGET: Creation is not preservation. Preservation is in the realm of wisdom. Even as you create, seek the wisdom that preserves!
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this knowledge. I receive it and walk in its understanding. Nothing I create can ever destroy me because I have the wisdom to enjoy my creations. Even as I walk through the paths of greatness, I never get off the road of destiny because I understand these truths. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
