The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
The fervent prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available, which power is dynamic in its working.
What does it mean for this power to be dynamic?
It means that while you are praying for healing, but there is also need for your protection against an enemy who wants to attack you in a few days, power is appropriated to handle that matter, even though you are not aware of it.
If you are praying for a financial breakthrough but your child may fall into grave danger in the coming days, the power of God is also directed to deal with the coming danger against your child.
In Romans 8:26, the Bible says, “We know not what we should pray for as we ought.”
Sometimes, we do not know exactly what we are up against. We may be unaware of what is coming up ahead and our prayers may be directed towards something else entirely. However, when power is made available through our prayer, it deals with matters we are even unaware of.
That is dynamic power at work.
Robert Murray McCheyne, a minister in the Church of Scotland in the 1800’s once said, “If the veil of the world’s machinery were lifted off, how much we would find is done in answer to the prayers of God’s children.” In essence, the prayers of the saints are availing power which is actively solving problems and averting dangers we do not even know of.
This is why it is important to have a consistent life of prayer, for in prayer, we redeem countless and immeasurable things.

Yakobo 5:16 (AMPC); Basi ungameni ninyi kwa ninyi dhambi zenu (vipande vyenu, makosa yenu, makosa yenu, dhambi zenu) na kuombeana [pia] ninyi kwa ninyi, ili mpate kuponywa na kurejeshwa [kwa sauti ya kiroho ya akili na moyo]. Maombi ya bidii ya mwenye haki hufanya nguvu kubwa kupatikana, ambayo iko na nguvu katika utendaji wake.
Inamaanisha nini kwa nguvu ya maombi hii kuwa na nguvu?
Inamaanisha kuwa wakati unapoomba uponyaji, ilhali pia kuna haja ya ulinzi wako dhidi ya adui ambaye anataka kukushambulia kwa siku chache, nguvu imepewa kushughulikia jambo hilo, ingawa hujui.
Ikiwa unaombea mafanikio ya kifedha lakini mtoto wako anaweza kuanguka katika hatari kubwa katika siku zijazo, nguvu za Mungu pia zinaelekezwa kushughulikia hatari inayokuja dhidi ya mtoto wako.
Katika Warumi 8:26, Biblia inasema, “Hatujui kuomba jinsi itupasavyo.”
Wakati mwingine, hatujui ni nini haswa tunachopingana nacho. Huenda hatujui ni nini kinakuja mbeleni na maombi yetu yanaweza kuelekezwa kwa kitu kingine kabisa. Walakini, nguvu inapopatikana kupitia maombi yetu, inashughulikia mambo ambayo hata hatujui.
Hiyo ni nguvu inayofanya kazi.
