Mark 6:3-5 (KJV); Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. But Jesus, said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
God expects you to recognise and honour the mantles around you. This could be in your family, at your workplace or nation.
People usually use our theme scripture to justify the disrespect and dishonour men and women of God suffer at the hands of their family members, friends and other individuals in proximity to them.
But Jesus was addressing men under the Old Covenant. He expects better of you who is under the New Covenant, has the Holy Spirit and the wisdom to be discerning.
Your indifference to these mantles can frustrate your relationship with God.
When God distinguishes a man, it’s wise to take note of it, lest you be like the men in our theme scripture who took offence at the mark of distinction that God had placed on Christ, so much that they missed out on what God desired to do for them. The Bible says that He could not do any mighty work in that place.

Makko 6:3-5 (KJV); Si ye wuuno omubazzi, omwana wa Malyamu, muganda wa Yakobo, ne Yose, ne Yuda ne Simooni? Ne bannyina tetuli nabo wano ewaffe? Ne bamwesittalako. Yesu n’abagamba nti Nnabbi tabulwa kitiibwa wabula mu nsi yaabo, ne mu kika kye, ne mu nnyumba ye. So teyayinza kukolerayo kya magero kyonna, naye yassa emikono gye ku balwadde batono, n’abawonya.
Katonda akusuubira okulaba n’okussaamu ekitiibwa eminagiro egikwetoolodde. Kino kisobola okubeera mu nnyumba yo, mu kifo gy’okolera oba eggwanga.
Abantu batera okukozesa ekyawandiikibwa kyaffe ekigguddewo okuwolereza ensonga ey’okunyoomoola n’obutassaamu kitiibwa abasajja n’abakyala ba Katonda bwe babonaabona mu mikono gy’abantu b’ennyumba zaabwe, emikwano ne bassekinnoomu abalala ababali okumpi.
Naye Yesu yali ategeeza abantu ab’endagaano enkadde. Asuubira ekisingawo mu ggwe ali wansi w’endagaano empya, alina Omwoyo Omutukuvu n’amagezi ag’okwawula.
Obutafaayo bwo eri eminagiro gino busobola okuziyiza enkolagana yo ne Katonda.
Katonda bw’ayawula omuntu, ky’amagezi okukiraba, olwo weewale okubeera ng’abantu mu kyawandiikibwa kyaffe ekigguddewo abeesittala ku lw’akabonero ak’enjawulo Katonda ke yali atadde ku Kristo, nnyo ddala nti baasubwa Katonda kye Yali abaagalizza. Baibuli egamba nti Teyasobola kukola by’amaanyi mu kifo ekyo.
Singa okuyita mu ndaba y’okwawula, olaba nti omuntu mu nnyumba yo, ekifo mw’okolera, ekyalo oba eggwanga ddala yafukibwako amafuta mu maanyi okuva ewa Katonda, tolekanga okwefaananyiriza okuyimirira mu kkubo ly’ekyo Katonda ky’Asobola okukukolera ng’Ayita mu muntu oyo. Bulijjo, wa ekitiibwa awo ekitiibwa we kisaanidde (Abaruumi 13:7).

Mako 6:3-5; Beitu ogu t’omubaizi, omwana wa Mariamu, mukuru wa Yakobo na Yose na Yuda na Simooni? Na banyaanya tibari owaitu? Ebye byabashobera. Yesu yaabagira ati: Nabi weena tabura kitiinisa, kureka omu ihanga ryabo, n’omu ruganda rwabo, n’omu ka ye. N’ahabw’ekyo tarabaasize kukorerayo ky’okutangaaza kyona, kureka akata engaro aha barwaire bakye, yaabakiza.
Ruhanga nayenda ngu omanye eminagiro ekwehinguririize. Eki nikibaasa kuba omuka yaawe, ahu orikukorera nari omu ihanga ryaawe.

Kwonka Yesu akaba nagambira abantu b’omundagaano enkuru. Arinzire ekirikukiraho ahariiwe ori ahansi y’endagaano ensya, oine Omwoyo Orikweera hamwe n’obwengye bw’okwetegyereza.
Obutamanya bwaawe aha minagiro egi nikiteganisa omukago gwaawe na Ruhanga.

Marko 6:3-5 (KJV); Huyu si yule seremala, mwana wa Mariamu, na ndugu yao Yakobo, na Yose, na Yuda, na Simoni? Na maumbu yake hawapo hapa petu? Wakajikwaa kwake.Yesu akawaambia, Nabii hakosi heshima, isipokuwa katika nchi yake mwenyewe, na kwa jamaa zake, na nyumbani mwake. Wala hakuweza kufanya mwujiza wo wote huko, isipokuwa aliweka mikono yake juu ya wagonjwa wachache, akawaponya.
Mungu anatarajia utambue na kuheshimu upako unaokuzunguka. Hii inaweza kuwa katika familia yako, mahali pa kazi au taifa.
Watu kwa kawaida hutumia maandiko yetu ya mada kuhalalisha kutoheshimu na kuvunjia heshima wanaume na wanawake wa Mungu wanaoteseka mikononi mwa wanafamilia wao, marafiki na watu wengine walio karibu nao.
Lakini Yesu alikuwa anazungumza na wanaume chini ya Agano la Kale. Anatarajia mema kwako wewe uliye chini ya Agano Jipya, una Roho Mtakatifu na hekima ya kuwa na utambuzi.
Kwa kukosa kujali upako unaweza kuvuruga uhusiano wako na Mungu.
Mungu anapomtofautisha mtu, ni jambo la busara kulizingatia, usije ukafanana na watu katika andiko letu la somo ambao walichukizwa na alama ya upambanuzi ambayo Mungu aliweka juu ya Kristo, hata wakakosa kile ambacho Mungu alitarajia kufanya kwa ajili yao. Biblia inasema kwamba hangeweza kufanya kazi yoyote kubwa mahali hapo.
Ikiwa kwa ufunuo, unatambua kwamba mtu fulani katika familia yako, mahali pa kazi, jumuiya au taifa amepakwa mafuta sana na Mungu, usiruhusu ujuzi kusimama katika njia ya kile ambacho Mungu anaweza kukufanyia kupitia mtu huyo. Siku zote mpe heshima anapostahili heshima (Warumi 13:7).
