Apostle Grace Lubega
John 8:32 (KJV); And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
There are people who have mastered the art of reacting to adversity by running to the Word to search for scriptures that apply to their circumstances. For example, if they receive a bad report from the doctor, they run to the internet and google healing scriptures. When they have issues with their finances, they look up scriptures that affect their finances.
A man who lives like that can never be free. God has not called believers to visit the Bible. He has called us to live in it.
The freedom that Christ speaks of in our theme scripture is for men who have learnt to live in the Word of God and not merely to visit it out of necessity.
In the preceding verse to our theme scripture, the Lord tells His disciples, “If you abide in My word [continually obeying My teachings and living in accordance with them, then] you are truly My disciples.” (John 8:31 AMP).
The operative word here is ‘continually.’ When you live continually in the Word of God, you are established in the truth and when you are established in the truth, the truth makes you free.
If you desire to live in the Word, be deliberate about having it everywhere. Soak yourself in it. Let the Word be in your car, your bedroom, your living room and even at your office desk.
You cannot surround yourself with the Word and struggle with bondage. The Word is the land of the free!

GOLDEN NUGGET: When you live continually in the Word of God, you are established in the truth and when you are established in the truth, the truth makes you free.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this Word. I thank You for the liberty that I have in You. My life is invested in the Word. It is in everything that I do and say. Because I live in the Word, I walk in liberty in every area of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
