Apostle Grace Lubega
Ezekiel 36:6-11 (KJV); Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne the shame of the heathen:… For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown: And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded: And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
God never intends to write off anyone with whom He is in covenant relationship. Even when that person is under judgment, it does not mean that God has written them off.
This was the experience of Israel in our theme scripture. They were mocked and ridiculed by those that observed their state because their enemies assumed that the God Israel serves had forsaken them. But this was not the case.
It is possible to look rejected by God. It is possible for your life to seem like the Lord has turned His back on you.
You must understand that because He is the God who rebuilds us, in those moments when you feel most abandoned, His love has not waned one bit.
Fires and storms do not mean the absence of God. In fact, He says that when we go through the fire, He is with us. He is the fourth man in the fire. He is right with us in the midst of the storm.
You are not rejected. You have not been abandoned. God is with you. He will rebuild your life again.
