Apostle Grace Lubega
Matthew 6:6 (KJV); But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Our Lord is a God of the secret place. It is His nature to hide Himself (Isaiah 45:15).
One of the primary things that God reveals in the secret place are places in Him. This is part of the reward our theme scripture alludes to. Every public manifestation of God’s power in a man’s life is a result of the revelation of deeper and greater places in God to that man.
In Deuteronomy 29:29, the Bible says, “The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.”
When you study this scripture, you will find that the Hebrew text, which is the original language in which it was written, did not have the word ‘things’. This is why in the English translation; this is italicized to indicate that it is an addition.
The text reads, ‘The secret belongs to Him.’
When God speaks of the secret that belongs to Him, He means secret places and it is those secret places that He reveals to us.
Prayer is one of the many ways in which we discover different places in God.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for greater revelations in the life of prayer. My heart is open to more experiences in You and to deeper realms in communion. Thank You for the places of habitation that You open to me as I launch deeper in You, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
