Apostle Grace Lubega
Romans 8:27 (KJV); And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
In prayer, God expects you to know His mind concerning who you are praying for. It means that prayer is not an exercise in guesswork. You must be aware of what the Lord thinks concerning who you are interceding for.
How do you know the mind of God in this instance?
You can best know His mind when He reveals to you the heart of that person or people. This revelation is what makes any praying Christian an effective intercessor.
For example, you may take off time to intercede for a friend who wants to get married. Yet, what is in their heart disqualifies them from that covenant, because this commitment is only a form of revenge against their gossipy relatives.
When God reveals their heart, you are in a better position to pray for them in the true mind of the Spirit of love and truth.
We pray amiss when we pray against ‘symptoms’ instead of ‘causes’ because we do not know the states of people’s hearts.

GOLDEN NUGGET: In prayer, God expects you to know His mind concerning who you are praying for. This revelation is what makes any praying Christian an effective intercessor.
PRAYER: My Loving Father, I thank You for this wisdom. Thank You because it defines my effectiveness of prayer. I will no longer pray as one who merely ‘beats the air’ but as one to whom you reveal the hearts of others so that I align my prayers to Your will, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
