Colossians 4:2 (KJV); Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
Altars are a fundamental part of the life of salvation.
The altar may be an individual altar, a family altar, an altar at the workplace, a national altar or a continental altar.
Many people understand the importance of altars and are faithful in ensuring that the altars are burning with the fires of their fervent prayers.
While these have understood altars as avenues of consistent prayer, not many know that watching is also critical to the altar.
No altar is complete without watchmen.
It is no use praying for your family when you are not watchful and alert enough to know the spiritual events that may affect your family; it is no use praying for a nation when you do not watch for that nation. A watchman-less national altar may never know what attacks are planned against that nation and is incapable of making effective prayers.
I urge you this day to look beyond only building altars for prayer but understand that the altar must watch too.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this wisdom in prayer. Thank You because I understand the responsibility of watching. I am spiritually alert and awakened. Because I am, I never ‘beat the air’ in prayer. This is the testimony of every altar I build, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

ESSAALA: Kitange, Nkwebaza ku lw’amagezi gano mu kusaba. Nkwebaza kubanga ntegeera obuvunaanyizibwa bw’okulaba. Ndi bulindaala era omuzukufu mu by’omwoyo. Kubanga ndi, ‘sikuba mpewo’ mu kusaba. Buno bwe bujjulizi bwa buli kyoto ky’enzimba, mu linnya erya Yesu, Amiina.

Amatambiro n’ekicweeka kikuru aha magara g’okujunwa.
Itambiro niribaasa kuba itambiro ry’omuntu, itambiro ry’eka, itambiro aha murimo gwaawe, itambiro ryeihanga nari itambiro ryamayanja.
Abantu baingi nibetegyereza omugasho gw’amatambiro kandi nibafayo kureeba amatambiro gaabo nigotsya n’omuriro gw’eshaara zirikutagata.
N’obu aba barabe betegyereize amatambiro nk’emyanya y’okuguma nibashaba, tibaingi ngu nibamanya ngu okureeba nakwo nikukuru aha itambiro.
Tihariho itambiro erihikiire kimwe ritaine bariinzi.

Wakolosai 4:2 (KJV); Dumuni sana katika kuomba, mkikesha katika kuomba huku na shukrani;
Madhabahu ni sehemu ya msingi ya maisha ya wokovu.
Madhabahu inaweza kuwa madhabahu ya mtu binafsi, madhabahu ya familia, madhabahu mahali pa kazi, madhabahu ya taifa au madhabahu ya bara.
Watu wengi wanaelewa umuhimu wa madhabahu na ni waaminifu katika kuhakikisha kwamba madhabahu zinawaka kwa moto wa maombi yao ya bidii.
Ingawa hawa wameelewa madhabahu kama njia za maombi thabiti, si wengi wanaojua kwamba kukesha ni muhimu pia kwa madhabahu.
Hakuna madhabahu iliyokamilika bila walinzi.
Haifai kuombea familia yako wakati hauko macho na macho vya kutosha kujua matukio ya kiroho ambayo yanaweza kuathiri familia yako; haina maana kuliombea taifa usipoliangalia taifa hilo. Madhabahu ya kitaifa isiyo na mlinzi huenda isijue ni mashambulizi gani yamepangwa dhidi ya taifa hilo na haina uwezo wa kufanya maombi yenye ufanisi.
Nakusihi siku hii ya leo usiangalie zaidi ya kujenga madhabahu kwa ajili ya maombi tu bali uelewe kuwa madhabahu lazima iangalie pia.
