Apostle Grace Lubega
2 Timothy 2:15 (AMP); Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.
The Word of God must be handled with skill.
The reason why it does not work for some people and why it destroys others is because they handle it without skill.
What is this skill that the Word calls for?
The skill is wisdom. The wisdom of God is what makes us skillful in and by the Word.
When you hear the Word or choose to apply any of its tenets, one of the primary things you must ask yourself is what is the wisdom in this Word.
It does not matter how many times you have read the Bible from cover to cover. What makes a man a spiritual babe is their inability to derive wisdom from the Word they read and hear.
For example, there are instances where the Bible expects us to keep our faith to ourselves (Romans 14:22). For example, what profit is it to eat something that stumbles a young believer, because you are mature enough to handle it?
Merely listening to the Word is not enough. Receiving the wisdom of it is important. It is the wisdom that enables us to apply it in the unique circumstances that call for it.

GOLDEN NUGGET: The wisdom of God is what makes us skilful in and by the Word.
PRAYER: My Lord, I thank You for this Word. Your truth is the foundation on which I base my life. I do not just hear the Word, I hear the wisdom of it and it works mightily in my life. In everything that I do, I experience the results and the rewards of wisdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
