Apostle Grace Lubega
Psalm 139:23-24 (KJV); Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Many people desire things from God without understanding what those things will require from them. They want success, growth, and influence but they mistakenly assume that they can handle them. That is hubris.
The truth of the matter is that most people are not ready for what they ask for.
They want to influence nations but have failed to influence at their workplaces because of poor work ethic and inability to understand authority.
Some want immense wealth but God is keeping it from them because He knows that it will lead them straight off a cliff of personal destruction. After all, they lack both self and financial discipline.
The Lord has availed us all these things we desire. After all, He is the God who answers prayer, but are you ready?
God must search your heart. Allow Him to deal with things about you that you are not even aware of, which can turn your success into a hangman’s noose around your neck.
The blessing of the Lord makes us rich and adds no sorrow (Proverbs 10:22). Sorrow is dealt with by God chastising and dealing with our hearts to prepare us for success.

PRAYER: My Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for the path You have laid before me and the future You have prepared for me. I yield to Your Spirit even as You bend, break and kill my flesh. Thank You for moulding me into the person I must become, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
