Apostle Grace Lubega
1 Corinthians 11:1 (KJV); Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
We are followers of men because they are followers of Christ. We serve men in the gospel because they serve God.
As a Christian or minister of the gospel, you need to understand that Christ is the centre of all our submission.
If a man or woman of God does not follow Christ, it is contrary to the order of the Spirit to follow such a man.
If that man or woman of God started with Christ but veered off the course of truth and made something else the centre of worship other than Christ Himself, you have the right to flee because our submission to men is subject to their submission to Christ.
This truth can be abused because a spiritual babe can use it as an excuse to go on a church hopping spree. They may assume that their man or woman of God has removed Christ from the centre of the ministry and installed another idol.
This notwithstanding, it does not detract from the infallible truth that Christ defines our submission. When we look to spiritual authorities to inspire, grow and direct us, it is because they look to Christ, the ultimate pattern.

GOLDEN NUGGET: Our submission to men is subject to their submission to Christ. We are followers of men because they are followers of Christ. We serve men in the gospel because they serve God.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this wisdom. I understand the principle of submission and how it works. I am discerning enough to know who to follow. I can never be deceived off the path of truth because my ultimate submission is to Christ, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
