Apostle Grace Lubega
2 Corinthians 1:24 (AMP); not that we rule [like dictators] over your faith, but rather we work with you for [the increase of] your joy; for in your faith you stand firm [in your strong conviction that Jesus of Nazareth—the Messiah—is the Son of God, through whom we obtain eternal salvation].
Our generation bears witness to men and women of God who have grossly abused the graces and authority God has entrusted them with.
We have seen believers treated like minions who dance to every command of the man of God even when it is nonsensical and unreasonable.
Some are physically beaten while in some extreme cases, made to lie down on the ground as some form of human carpet for the ‘man of God.’
The cases of financial manipulation are rampant and some people now stereotype all ministers of the gospel as robbers.
Did Jesus live His life as a manipulator? Of course not!
Like our theme scripture reveals, a spiritual authority must not rule over men’s faith like a dictator. His part is to seek to increase the joy of those who trust his message.
As ministers of the gospel, God has not called us to be gods among sons of God because as daughters and sons of the Most High, they too are gods and joint heirs with Christ.

GOLDEN NUGGET: A spiritual authority must not rule over men’s faith like a dictator. His part is to seek to increase the joy of those who trust his message.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for teaching me the things that make a minister. I am wise in how I serve You. It shall never be said that I took advantage of those that I have responsibility over. It shall never be heard that I abused the gifts You gave me. In all I do, I bring glory to the Church of Christ and Your name, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
