Apostle Grace Lubega
Ephesians 4:11-14(KJV); And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
Growth and maturity in the spiritual office in which God has called you is dependent on the doctrine you listen to.
This is why our theme scripture points out that the purpose of the offices is to ensure that men mature to the level where they do not become victims of the winds of doctrine.
Doctrine is not subject to any individual office but Christ.
Infact, its proper to say, offices are subject to and mandated to teach the same doctrine.
And the only one and true doctrine is that of Christ, and not of any man.
Christ is the Chief Apostle, the Spirit of prophecy and True Prophet, the Good Shepherd and Pastor, the Greatest Evangelist who commissioned us to the world.
If a pastor teaches the right doctrine, an apostle will grow under his ministry. If a prophet teaches the right doctrine, an Evangelist will grow under his ministry.
If our doctrine places Christ and not men or their individual offices at the centre of its teaching, the apostle, the prophet, the pastor or the evangelist will grow unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of CHRIST and the completeness found in Him.

GOLDEN NUGGET: Doctrine is not subject to any individual office but Christ.
In fact, it is proper to say, offices are subject to and mandated to teach the same doctrine. And the only one and true doctrine is that of Christ, and not of any man.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this truth. You are the centre of my world and the foundation of my existence. I know that I am called of You and daily, as You launch me deeper into the truth in Christ, I grow into Him in all things. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
