Apostle Grace Lubega
James 4:3 (KJV); Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
One of the things that darkens the true vision that we must have in God is “the tyranny of need.”
This tyranny is what our theme scripture refers to as lust.
The Apostle Paul prays in Ephesians 1:18-19 and says, “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.”
How will you ever behold the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints when your eyes are set on a financial breakthrough?
How will you ever behold the exceeding greatness of His power when your heart is set on your desire for a spouse?
How will you ever know the hope of your calling when you believe that all your problems will end once you get a job?
There is more in God. Never let need darken your vision.
Every time a man looks past his needs, His vision is elevated.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I thank You for this truth. I thank You because the eyes of my understanding are constantly flooded with light. I am conscious of Your dream for my life and I walk in the reality of that dream. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
