Apostle Grace Lubega
1 Peter 4:8 (AMP); Above all things have intense and unfailing love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins [forgives and disregards the offenses of others].
Many believers aspire to a life of miracles, prophecy, or other great attributes that set a man apart as being anointed by God.
Few of them aspire to love. They will seek God endlessly to demonstrate His power, to cause the lame to walk and the blind to see but they can never break before Him for the sole purpose of allowing Him to love men through them.
They have not understood that the Bible places love at the pinnacle of all spiritual pursuits.
Our theme scripture uses the language of, “ABOVE ALL THINGS…”
In 1 Corinthians 12:31 (AMPC), the Word says, “But earnestly desire and zealously cultivate the greatest and best gifts and graces (the higher gifts and the choicest graces). And yet I will show you a still MORE EXCELLENT WAY [ONE THAT IS BETTER BY FAR AND THE HIGHEST OF THEM ALL–LOVE].”
Love is our high calling in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14). It is the fundamental rule of true discipleship. In John 13:35 (MSG), the Lord says, “This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples–when they see the love you have for each other.”
Allow love to be your driving motivation, spiritual ambition, and the standard against which you weigh all your actions.

GOLDEN NUGGET: Love is our high calling in Christ Jesus. It is the fundamental rule of true discipleship.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. In my walk of salvation, I am constantly reminded that you love me. It is with this same mind that I walk in love towards all men. I know that love is not just a pursuit, it is my nature. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
