Apostle Grace Lubega
Genesis 39:2 (KJV): “And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.”

There’s a belief some people carry that says, “If you’re successful, wealthy, or doing well in life, then maybe you’ve compromised your values or done something wrong to get wealth.” They look at prosperity with suspicion, as if being poor is the only sign of being truly close to God.
But our theme scripture reveals a different reality. It declares, “The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man.”
This shows us something powerful: God was not outside of Joseph’s success; He was in it.
Joseph didn’t cheat, lie, or manipulate anyone to get ahead. He didn’t take shortcuts. He simply walked with God. Because God was with him, Joseph succeeded in everything he did. His success was proof of God’s presence.
You see, not all success is sinful, not all wealth is dirty, and not all prosperity is the result of wicked schemes. We must stop thinking that poverty equals holiness and success equals sin.
God delights in blessing His children. He gives wisdom to succeed, strength to rise, and favor to increase.
If you’re walking with God, don’t be ashamed when things are going well for you. Let your life show what God can do with someone who trusts Him. Joseph prospered because the Lord was with him, and that same God is with you too. Hallelujah!

PRAYER: Loving Father, thank You for revealing to me Your mind about prosperity. As I walk with You, You bless the work of my hands. I am delivered from any wrong thinking that views prosperity as something evil. My life is a testimony of what You can do in someone who trusts and honors You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
