Matthew 10:38 (MSG); If you don’t go all the way with me, through thick and thin, you don’t deserve me.
The life of salvation and ministry to God is not a temporary assignment from which you can jump simply because you feel tired, unappreciated or frustrated.
When you choose God, it is for the long haul. You must be ready to stay the course no matter how rough the road gets, how strongly the fires burn and how mightily the winds blow.
If you are not ready to go all the way with God, through thick and thin, you don’t deserve Him.
Paul reveals to us his own personal experiences in staying the course. He says, “In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.” (2 Corinthians 11:26-27).
What fire did Paul not face? What storm did he not struggle through? Did he give up? No. Because he did not give up, he had the audacity to say, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7).
So toughen up, child of God. It is still a long journey ahead. Be ready to face up to whatever the enemy throws at you. You have God and today He tells you, “I have got you! You are in capable hands.”

Bw’olondawo Katonda, kiba kya lugendo luwanvu. Oteekeddwa okuba ng’oli mwetegefu okusigala ku lugendo si nsonga ekkubo likalubye litya, omuliro gwokya nnyo kwenkana wa era emiyaga gikunta kwenkana wa.
Bw’obeera nga toli mwetegefu kutambula lugendo lwonna ne Katonda, okuyita mu buli mbeera, tomugwanira.
Paulo atubikkulira ku nsisinkano ze olw’okusigala mu kkubo. Agamba, “mu kutambulanga emirundi emingi, mu bubi obw’emigga, mu bubi obw’abanyazi, mu bubi obuva eri eggwanga lyange, mu bubi obuva eri ab’amawanga, mu bubi obw’omu kibuga, mu bubi obw’omu ddungu, mu bubi obw’omunnyanja, mu bubi obw’aboluganda ab’obulimba; mu kufuba n’okukoowa, mu kutunulanga emirundi emingi, mu njala n’ennyonta, mu kusiibanga emirundi emingi, mu mpewo n’okubeera obwereere.” (2 Abakkolinso 11:26-27).
Muliro ki Paulo gwatenŋŋanga? Muyaga ki gw’ataayitamu? Yawanika? Nedda. Olw’okubeera nti teyawanika, yalina obuvumu okwogera nti, “Nnwanye okulwana okulungi, olugendo ndutuusizza, okukkiriza nkukuumye” (2 Timoseewo 4:7).
N’olwekyo guma, mwana wa Katonda. Lukyali lugendo luwanvu mu maaso. Beera mwetegefu okweŋŋanga kyonna omulabe ky’akusuulira mu maaso. Olina Katonda era leero akugamba, “Nkulina! Oli mu mikono emisobozi.”

OKUGUMA OMU RUGYENDO RURAINGWA

Amagara g’okujunwa n’okuheereza Ruhanga timurimo gw’obwiire bukye ogu orikugurukamu ngu ahabw’okuba n’ohurira oruhire, otasiimirwe nari otamirwe.
Ku orikutorana Ruhanga, n’eky’orugyendo ruraingwa. Oshemereire kuba oyetegire kuguma omu rugyendo n’obu rwakuba rubi ruta, omuriro gukotsya guta, nari emiyaga ekahuha n’amaani ki.
Ku oraabe otetegire kugyenda orugyendo rwoona na Ruhanga, omu bihango n’ebikye, tomushemereire.
Paulo natushuuruurira ebiyarabiremu omu kuguma omu rugyendo rwe. Nagira ati, “omu ngyendo nyingi nkareeba akabi omu migyera, omu bambuzi, omu b’eihanga ryaitu, omu Banyamahanga, omu rurembo, omu ihamba, omu nyanja, omu b’eishe-emwe ab’ebishuba; omu kuruha n’omu kufa kubi, omu kuraara aha kiro kaingi, omu njara n’eiriho, omu kubura eby’okurya kaingi, omu mbeho n’okubura eky’okujwara.” (2 Abakorinso 11:26-27).
Nimuriro ki ogu Paulo atarabugaine? Ni eihunga ki eri atararabiremu. Akahwa amatsiko? Ngaha. Ahabw’okuba tarahwaire matsiko, akaba aine obumanzi kugira ati, “Ndwaine okurwaana okurungi, mperize orugyendo rwangye, ndinzire okwikiriza. (2 Timoseo 4:7).
Mbwenu guma, mwana wa Ruhanga. Rukiri orugyendo ruraingwa omu maisho. Yetegye kubugana burikimwe eki omuzigu arikukurekyera. Oine Ruhanga kandi nakugambira erizooba ati “Nkwiine! Ori omu mikono erikubaasa”.

OKUSHABA: Taata Wangye, Ninkusiima ahabw’ekigambo eki. Ninkusiima ahabw’orugyendo rw’enjiri oru. Naiwe maani gangye kandi enshonga yangye y’okuta amaisho ahari nyenkyakare. Nyine obuhame ngu orinanye kandi ori owangye. Omu eiziina rya Yesu. Amiina.
KUBAMU HABWORUGENDO RWONA

Obwomezi bwokujunwa nobuhereza hali Ruhanga tiguli mulimo ogwakacu ogwogurukaho ngu habwokuba okuhuura ojwahire, otasimirwe rundi onagirwe ensazi.
Obwokomamu Ruhanga, kiri habw’orugendo rwona. Oine kuba wetekaniize okuguma hamuramwa otafiireyo oruguudo omulingo rukaatuuka, emiiro omulingo gw’ekwokya n’amaani kandi n’emiyaga omulingo gwekuteera n’obusobozi.
Bwora’ba otetekaniize okugenda omuhanda gwona kutuurayo na Ruhanga, okuraba omubikwasire n’ebitaito, tokumusemeera.
Paulo atusukuura obumanyiizi bwe nk’omuntu omukuguma ha muramwa. Agamba, “Omungendo nyingi, omu kabi kebyambu, omu kabi kabazinzi, omu kabi hali abomuruganda rwange, omu kabi hali Abamahanga, omu kabi omu rubuga, omu kabi omu irungu, omu kabi omu nyanja, omu kabi hali bagenzi bange abebisuba; omu kutalibana nokujwaha, omu kurora emirundi nyingi, omu njara niroho, omu kusiba emirundi nyingi, omu mbeho nokuba kwonka.” (2 Abakolinso 11:26-27).
Muuro ki Paulo ogwataitiraine? Muyaga ki ogwatatabaine nagwo? Akabihwaho? Nangwa. Habwokuba atabihweho, akaba aine obusobozi kugamba “Nkarwana okurwana okurungi, mpikize orugendo rwange, ndinzire okuikiriza” (2 Timoteo 4:7).
Nukwo ‘nnu saalira, mwana wa Ruhanga. Rukyali rugendo ruraira omu maiso. Ba anyakwetekaniize okuitirana buli omu nyanzigwa ekyarakunagira. Oine Ruhanga kandi kiro kinu nakugambira, “Nkukwasire! Oli omu mikono ekusobora.”
GALIHYA N’OSOMA: 2 Timoseo 4:7, 2 Abakolinso 11:26-27
EBIKURU MUBYOONA: Obwokomamu Ruhanga, kiri habw’orugendo rwona. Oine kuba wetekaniize okuguma hamuramwa otafiireyo oruguudo omulingo rukaatuuka, emiiro omulingo gw’ekwokya n’amaani kandi n’emiyaga omulingo gwekuteera n’obusobozi.

NDANI KWA MUDA MREFU

Mathayo 10:38 (MSG); Wala mtu asiyechukua msalaba wake akanifuata, hanistahili.
Maisha ya wokovu na huduma kwa Mungu si kazi ya muda mfupi ambayo unaweza kuiruka kwa sababu tu unahisi uchovu, kutothaminiwa au kufadhaika.
Unapomchagua Mungu, ni kwa muda mrefu. Ni lazima uwe tayari kukaa kwenye mwendo bila kujali safari itakuwa mbovu kiasi gani, jinsi moto unavyowaka na upepo unavyovuma.
Ikiwa hauko tayari kwenda njia yote na Mungu, katika hali ngumu na mbaya, haumstahili.
Paulo anatufunulia uzoefu wake binafsi katika kubaki katika njia hiyo. Anasema, “katika kusafiri mara nyingi; hatari za mito; hatari za wanyang’anyi; hatari kwa taifa langu; hatari kwa mataifa mengine; hatari za mjini; hatari za jangwani; hatari za baharini; hatari kwa ndugu za uongo; katika taabu na masumbufu; katika kukesha mara nyingi; katika njaa na kiu; katika kufunga mara nyingi; katika baridi na kuwa uchi.” ( 2 Wakorintho 11:26-27).
Ni moto gani ambao Paulo hakukabiliana nao? Ni dhoruba gani ambayo hakupambana nayo? Je, alikata tamaa? Hapana. Kwa sababu hakukata tamaa, alikuwa na ujasiri wa kusema, “Nimevipiga vita vilivyo vizuri, mwendo nimeumaliza, imani nimeilinda” (2 Timotheo 4:7).
Jipe moyo sana, mwana wa Mungu. Bado ni safari ndefu mbeleni. Kuwa tayari kukabiliana na chochote ambacho adui atakurushia. Una Mungu na leo anakuambia, “Niko na wewe! Uko kwenye mikono yenye uwezo”.

UJUMBE MKUU: Unapomchagua Mungu, ni kwa muda mrefu. Ni lazima uwe tayari kukaa kwenye mwendo bila kujali safari itakuwa mbovu kiasi gani, jinsi moto unavyowaka na upepo unavyovuma.
SALA: Baba Yangu, Nakushukuru kwa neno hili. Asante kwa safari hii ya injili. Wewe ni nguvu yangu na sababu yangu ya kuitazamia kesho. Haijalishi ni nini kitakachonijia, ninasimama katika uhakikisho wa baraka kwamba Wewe uko pamoja nami na kwa ajili yangu. Katika jina la Yesu, Amina.
