Apostle Grace Lubega
Hebrews 6:11-12 (KJV): “And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”
—
It is possible to be slothful in the things of the Spirit, to be slow in building ministry, advancing in your career, growing a business, or making progress in any other area of life.
This is not the will of God for any believer, and in our theme Scripture, He gives us the antidote (answer)to such a condition.
The Bible shows us that those who are not slothful are followers of those who, through faith and patience, inherit the promises.
Sometimes, stagnation or very slow progress in a believer’s life is the result of failing to imitate men and women who have gone ahead in the very areas one desires to grow in or attain.
This may stem from pride or even indifference. A man of God may convince himself that he has nothing to learn from another servant of God who has built a fruitful ministry and is being mightily used by God. A businessman may assume that a successful businessman has nothing to teach him and insist on learning everything on his own.
Such an attitude is a sure recipe for slow growth. Scripture makes it clear that when you learn to imitate, to follow, and to study the patterns of those who are ahead of you, you position yourself for supernatural growth and momentum.
Do not let pride rob you of the opportunity to grow more quickly. If God has placed someone in your life from whom you can learn, humble yourself and learn. In doing so, you will avoid mistakes that could cost you years and gain wisdom that can move you forward with greater speed. Hallelujah!

GOLDEN NUGGET: When you learn to imitate, to follow, and to study the patterns of those who are ahead of you, you position yourself for supernatural growth and momentum.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. I am grateful for the great men and women You bring into my life to teach, guide, and show me how to succeed. You teach me to honor the graces upon their lives, to learn through both spoken and silent instructions, and to align myself with the paths of success by imitating their faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
