Apostle Grace Lubega
2 Corinthians 1:24(MSG); We’re not in charge of how you live out the faith, looking over your shoulders, suspiciously critical. We’re partners, working alongside you, joyfully expectant. I know that you stand by your own faith, not by ours.
Success in ministry is when you raise men and women who are not solely dependent on you as a man or woman of God for answers.
There are ministers of the gospel who are keen on feeding a dependence mentality from the people they lead. They fear that if people are empowered to believe God for themselves, they shall leave the ministry.
That is not how ministry is built. You cannot multiply when the oil is only on one head and neither can you shackle men to yourself through the chains of their ignorance.
As a minister of God you must continually point men to Christ and what He can do and not to yourself. Teach them to sort issues themselves. Teach them to seek God for themselves.
This is how the early church operated. It had men like Stephen whose responsibility was serving tables and yet he was well capable of shaking an entire city by the power of the miraculous. He was not counted among the twelve apostles but the Bible says he was a man full of faith (Acts 6:5).
You cannot be the alpha and omega of people’s lives. True teaching must liberate men to believe God without having to call the man of God. True teaching must provoke men to launch out in faith.

PRAYER: Father, You are a great and mighty God. You are unfailing and unchanging. I trust and hope in You. Every day, I grow in faith because I know in whom I have believed. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
