Apostle Grace Lubega
Ephesians 4:15-16 (NKJV): “But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”

In the life of the gospel, God has ordained a specific part for every individual to contribute to the cause of the Kingdom.
You are not a random member of the body of Christ. There is something God has called and purposed for you to do. This is why our theme scripture says that every joint must supply. It is not some joints supplying while others remain inactive; it is every joint supplying according to the effective working by which every part does its share.
But what does it mean to effectively supply?
For a joint to effectively supply, it must first know what it has been called to do. It must understand its assigned portion, lest it begins to labour in spaces that God has not ordained for it.
In this, it is very important to understand that not every need in the gospel is yours to meet. You may have zeal for something and genuinely see the need for it, but zeal alone is not enough. God must reveal to you that it is your part. Otherwise, you may take on burdens that He never desired for you to carry.
This is why Romans 12:7 speaks of waiting on our ministry. Learn to tarry in communion with the Spirit of God until He makes clearer what you must do and how you must do it. Every burden must find its full interpretation in the presence of God.
It is God that defines your ministry, refines your burden, and establishes you in the assignment that is truly yours. Praise Him!

GOLDEN NUGGET: For a joint to effectively supply, it must first know what it has been called to do. It must understand its assigned portion, lest it begins to labour in spaces that God has not ordained for it.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. I am grateful for my part in the gospel which You make clearer daily. Where it is not clear, I have the patience to wait on You until Your counsel clarifies it. May zeal alone never lead my way but may I yield to Your Spirit and His instructions. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
