The Phaneroo Devotion: Distinction and Our Places of Access

Daniel 4:18 (NKJV): “This dream I, King Nebuchadnezzar, have seen. Now you, Belteshazzar, declare its interpretation, since all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known to me the interpretation; but you are able, for the Spirit of the Holy God is in you.”

God is in the business of availing to His children realms, ideas, interpretations, solutions, and innovations that cannot be accessed by ordinary men. By this, He sets them apart as unique, distinctive, and His own.
Take the example of Daniel in our theme scripture. King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream, but none of the wise men in his kingdom could make known its interpretation. These men were considered wise by the standards of Babylon. They had learning, experience, and some form of spiritual access through their crafts. Yet, this realm was locked to them.
No matter what they attempted to do, they could not access the meaning of the king’s dream. God had ordained that only Daniel would see what the dream meant. This is how divine distinction works.
God can give a believer access to a business idea that has never been seen before. He can give a minister a grace that carries a unique sound. He can give a professional a solution that changes an entire industry. He can give a leader wisdom that settles problems others have failed to solve.
This is why there should be no competition in the Body of Christ. God has enough unique and distinctive graces for each of His children. You do not need to copy what someone else carries. You do not need to become a cheap version of another man’s originality.
God wants to give you something that is uniquely yours, yet a blessing to many. He wants to make you so distinctive that men will look at what He has placed upon your life and say, “We have not seen this anywhere else.” Hallelujah!

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You because You are the revealer of secrets and the giver of divine wisdom. You open my spirit to the unique grace and wisdom You have placed upon me. I am a vessel of divine distinction, not for pride, but for service and blessing to many. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
