Apostle Grace Lubega
Galatians 1:16–17 (KJV): “To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.”

There is a kind of revelation that comes from flesh and blood, and there is a revelation that comes from the Father. Jesus made this distinction clear in Matthew 16:17 when He said, “Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.” What Peter received was not the product of human reasoning, natural perception, or the wisdom of men. It was heaven’s unveiling.
This remains a vital truth for the Church today. Many representations of Christ are spoken among men, yet not all are born of the Father’s revelation. The revelation of flesh and blood seeks to reduce the Lord Jesus to the level of ordinary men. It speaks of Him merely as a good teacher or a moral example but fails to behold the fullness of His person and glory. It is also this same carnal understanding that attempts to separate the believer from Christ, rather than unveiling the mystery of Christ in us and our oneness with Him.
Beloved, in the matter of knowing the Lord Jesus, it is essential that His revelation comes from the Father. Paul understood this deeply. In our theme Scripture, the word conferred carries the sense of consulting, taking counsel, or seeking guidance. Paul tells us that when it pleased God to reveal His Son in him, he did not begin by seeking human interpretation or natural counsel. Instead, he withdrew into Arabia, into a place of separation, where the Lord Himself could unveil Christ in him.
What a lesson this is for us. There are dimensions of Christ that cannot be known through mere study, debate, or human explanation alone. They must be unveiled by the Spirit of the Father. Beloved, do not be content with borrowed knowledge of Jesus. Do not rest in secondhand impressions of His person. Make room for separation, and for communion with God and allow Him to reveal Christ to you. Hallelujah!

GOLDEN NUGGET: There are dimensions of Christ that cannot be known through mere study, debate, or human explanation alone. They must be unveiled by the Spirit of the Father.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this Word. Thank You for the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ. My eyes are opened to behold Him for who He truly is. You flood the eyes of my understanding with light, that I may continually comprehend the heights and depths of His glorious person. And the more I know Him, the more I desire to know Him, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
