Apostle Grace Lubega
Proverbs 23:26 (KJV); My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.
Years ago, I started a ministry of my own. It grew and was seemingly doing well.
God appeared to me and said, ‘that is not how I build.’ He told me that I was not ready to build a ministry. He instructed me to hand over the church to some other individuals and sent me to an entirely different place so I could serve another man. In service to that man, I was not even to start from the pulpit but from doing all manner of menial work in serving him.
This particular instruction in the ways that God builds did not last for a year but ten years. In that time period, God showed me much about ministry and opened my eyes to this fundamental truth; to build a man, God starts with that man’s heart before He builds the things on the outside.
I cannot emphasise enough how important it is for you to give God your heart and allow Him to deal with you; what is broken, what is hardened, what is indifferent and what is simply ignorant.
The Message translation of our theme scripture says, ‘give God your full attention.’
Place Him at the centre of your life; decisions, attitudes, philosophies, world views and thoughts.
His name be praised.

GOLDEN NUGGET: To build a man, God starts with that man’s heart before He builds the things on the outside.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. I thank You because You are working inside me, bending me and breaking me for Your glory. I have yielded my heart to You that You may do as You please and change me in ways that only You know how, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
