Jeremiah 10:23 (KJV); O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
Many theological hairs have been split over the subject of free will. Numerous theses have been written on the topic and so have various expositions. However, our theme scripture reduces it to its greatest simplicity.
It is not in man to direct his steps. The Message version brings out this point much more strongly when it says, “mere mortals can’t run their own lives, men and women do not have what it takes to take charge of life.”
It is an indelible truth that every decision you make is by some spirit, either the Spirit of God or the spirit of darkness, the devil.
Some attempt to run away from this truth by waving the flag of free will like it is some form of personal emblem giving them all power over their destinies and choices. I cannot emphasise it enough; it is not in a man, even a man at his best to direct his own steps.
Why is this blunt truth so important? Because it awakens us more strongly to the influences that we are yielding ourselves to daily; it amplifies the need for spiritual consciousness.
As the Church matures in its understanding of how the realm of the spirit works, it can no longer afford to be ignorant of the influence of the invisible on the visible. And so, you must ponder and answer the ultimate question; TO WHICH SPIRIT ARE YOU YIELDING?

NENO KUHUSU UHURU WA KUCHAGUA – UNAJITOA KWA NANI?

Yeremia 10:23 (KJV); Ee BWANA, najua ya kuwa njia ya mwanadamu haimo katika nafsi yake; kuelekeza hatua zake si katika uwezo wa mwanadamu.
Warithi wengi wa theologia wametengana kwenye uelewa wao juu ya uhuru wa kuchagua. Nadharia nyingi zime andikwa juu ya hii mada hivyo kuwa na maonyesho mbalimbali. Lakini mandhari ya maandiko yetu yana ya pungunza na kuya rahisisha zaidi.
Sio kwa mwanadamu aelekeze hatua zake . Toleo la ujumbe linaleta hoja hii kwa nguvu zaidi pale linaposema, “wanadamu hawawezi kuendesha maisha yao ya kila siku, wanawake na wanaume hawana uwezo unao wezesha kuongoza maisha.”
Ni kweli isiyopingika kuwa kila maamuzi unayo yafanya kuna roho nyuma yake, iwe roho ya Mungu au roho ya giza, shetani.
Kuna wale ambao hujaribu kukimbia kutoka kwenye kweli hii kwa njia ya kupeperusha bendera ya uhuru wa kuchagua kuwa kama nembo yao binafsi inayowapa nguvu juu ya maamuzi yao na makusudio yao. Siwezi kusisitiza inavyotosha; haipo kwa mwanadamu hata mwanadamu kwenye ubora kuongoza hatua zake.
Kwa nini kweli hii tupu haina mashiko? Kwa sababu hutuamsha kwa nguvu zaidi juu ya ushawishi kuwa tunajitoa kwa uwezo wetu kila siku; unakuza haja ya ufahamu wa kiroho.
Kanisa likiendelea kukua kwenye uwelewa wa jinsi gani ulimwengu wa kiroho unafanya kazi, haliwezi kuendelea kuvumilia kuwa wajinga kwenye ushawishi wa vitu vinavyoonekana na visivyoonekana. Itakubidi kutafakari na kujibu swali la mwisho. UNAJITOA KWA ROHO GANI?
