Apostle Grace Lubega
Isaiah 59:16 (AMP); And He saw that there was no man and wondered that there was no intercessor [no one to intervene on behalf of truth and right]; therefore His own arm brought Him victory, and His own righteousness [having the Spirit without measure] sustained Him.
In my life of ministry, there are families I ministered to who were struggling with an issue that had affected every member of the household.
I have seen households where everyone in that family is poor. If you looked through the entire family from parents to distant relatives, none of them has much to show for their labours. That is reproach.
There are families struggling with the same disease. I once ministered to a woman whose family had a history of people getting infected with HIV. I once met another family where every member was struggling with drug addiction, parents and children alike and kept meandering in and out of rehabilitation centres. That too is reproach.
How about families where there has never been a marriage celebrated. In some families, couples only cohabit, they do not get into holy matrimony. Is that God’s plan? Of course not. That is also reproach.
The sad thing is that there are believers who see these trends in their families and are oddly comfortable with the situations in which their families are.
How can you, who is Born Again, have such things in your family and accept them as normal? How can you grow up and have never seen healing and financial prosperity in your family and are not bothered by it?
God expects you to stand in the gap(Ezekiel 22:30). God is stirring you to the understanding that the state of your family is your responsibility. You did not receive the life of God in vain. You did not hear the message of the greatness of God and what He can do for nothing. You are not reading this devotion in vain.
Refuse certain things in your family. Believe that through you, God must change them. The starting point is to say enough is enough. Change cannot come while you accept the status quo as your normal. Change comes when you understand that the God-life in you is enough to cause an avalanche of change through your whole family.

GOLDEN NUGGET: God is stirring you to the understanding that the state of your family is your responsibility. You did not receive the life of God in vain. You did not hear the message of the greatness of God and what He can do for nothing.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. I know that You have called me for the redemption of my family. I rise to this call and mandate. I refuse to be comfortable with poverty, mediocrity and disease in my family. Because I am a part of this family, its destiny is changing to the glory of Your name, Amen.
