Apostle Grace Lubega
Hebrews 10:35-36 (AMP); Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward. For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.
An enduring question is posed by many believers about why they never seem to receive the things they have prayed about.
Paul, in our theme scripture, paints for us the attitude of a true believer, calling it fearless confidence. Such confidence brings with it great rewards.
Some people do not receive what they pray to God about because they do not go the whole way in believing God but faint in their faith and draw back. They cower at the things that shake their confidence.
The Bible says that we are not of them that draw back unto perdition, but of them that believe until the soul is saved (Hebrews 10:39).
As children of God, we believe till the end of a matter. That is what makes our confidence fearless.
We neither give up nor give in when our faith is tested because we have set our eyes on God who fulfils His Word in our lives.
