Apostle Grace Lubega
1 Peter 5:7(AMP): “casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].”
—
In prayer, many believers understand the instruction to cast cares on God. They come before the Father, articulate their pains, roll their anxieties onto Him, and believe Him for a turnaround in their circumstances. Yet, a subtle error often creeps in: after giving their burdens to God, they turn around, retrieve those very cares, and continue carrying them.
Scripture does not merely instruct us to cast our cares; it commands us to do so once and for all.
The true test of whether you have permanently released a burden to God is how you respond when circumstances appear to deteriorate. If news worsens and your peace vanishes, or if your confession shifts from faith to fear, you have fetched the burden back.
To cast your care once and for all means entering into divine rest. It means that even if the storm rages louder or the symptoms persist, your heart remains unshaken. Your speech stays steadfast, aligned with the truth of the Word, because your gaze is fixed on the Father who watchfully cares for you. True faith releases the care, leaves it in the Father’s arms, and rests in the absolute integrity of God.

GOLDEN NUGGET: True faith releases the care, leaves it in the Father’s arms, and rests in the absolute integrity of God.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your watchful, affectionate care over my life. Today, I cast every care onto You once and for all. I receive the grace to rest completely in Your finished work. I know that You are in charge. Even if circumstances shake around me, my eyes are fixed on You, the author and finisher of my faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
