A long time ago, I examined my life and realised that I did not have much to show for the many years that I had spent in employment.
I went to work every week, served my employer diligently and did what I had to do to get things done. However, I could not point to much and testify that this was an addition to my life.
I have known people who after the last day of their work with a certain employer will leave with nothing but that last month’s salary after many years of labour.
During that time of my life, my biological father approached me and said something extremely fundamental and which set me on a course of self-examination and inquiry. He said, in our local dialect, ‘My son, I hope you are not struggling with the spirit of slavery.’
Slavery is a mindset that will always limit how far one progresses in life. Boundaries will always exist to define the scope of a slave’s success and increase in life.
Slavery creates the mindset that one’s primary source of provision is their job, business or if one is a minister, then the offertory bag. Slavery looks at the insufficiencies of the self to define the extent of one’s growth.
That is not what God wills for you as His child. He says you are His seed and not a slave. It means that there must be a mindset shift. The seed of God has an abundance mentality. The seed of God does not look to his job as his source because he knows that no employer can ever pay enough. The seed of God defines his wealth not by his wages but by the inheritance he has in Christ.
You are a seed of God.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for the glorious riches that are my portion in Christ. Thank You because I have been given all things that pertain to life and godliness. Muda mrefu uliopita, nilichunguza maisha yangu na kugundua kwamba sikuwa na mengi ya kuonyesha kwa miaka mingi ambayo nilitumia katika kazi ya kuajiriwa.
Nilikwenda kazini kila wiki, nikamtumikia mwajiri wangu kwa bidii na nilifanya yale niliyopaswa kufanya ili mambo yaende. Walakini, sikuweza kuonesha mengi na kushuhudia kwamba hii ilikuwa nyongeza ya maisha yangu.
Nimewajua watu ambao baada ya siku ya mwisho ya kazi zao kwa mwajiri fulani wataondoka bila chochote isipokuwa mshahara wa mwisho wa mwezi baada ya miaka mingi ya kazi.

Utumwa hujenga mtazamo kwamba chanzo kikuu cha mtu kujipatia riziki ni kazi yao, biashara au kama mtu ni mtumishi, basi mfuko wa sadaka. Utumwa huangalia upungufu binafsi ili kufafanua kiwango cha ukuaji wa mtu.
Hivyo sivyo Mungu anataka kwako kama mwana wake. Anasema wewe ni mbegu Yake na si mtumwa. Ina maana kwamba lazima kuwe na mabadiliko ya mtazamo. Wana wa Mungu wana mawazo ya utele. Wana hawatazamii kazi zao kama chanzo chao kwa sababu wanajua kwamba hakuna mwajiri anayeweza kuwalipa vya kutosha. Mbegu ya Mungu hufafanua mali zake na si kwa mishahara yao bali kwa urithi walio nao katika Kristo.
Wewe ni mbegu ya Mungu.

DE L’ESCLAVAGE À LA FILIATION

Galates 4:7 (NBS); Ainsi tu n’es plus esclave, mais fils ; et si tu es fils, tu es aussi héritier, du fait de Dieu.
Il y a longtemps, j’ai examiné ma vie et j’ai réalisé que je n’avais pas grand-chose à montrer pendant les nombreuses années que j’avais passées dans l’emploi.
Je suis allé travailler chaque semaine, j’ai servi mon employeur avec diligence et j’ai fait ce que j’avais à faire pour faire avancer les choses. Cependant, je ne pouvais pas indiquer grand-chose et témoigner que c’était un ajout à ma vie.
J’ai connu des gens qui, après le dernier jour de leur travail chez un certain employeur, partiront avec rien d’autre que le salaire du dernier mois après de nombreuses années de travail.
Pendant cette période de ma vie, mon père biologique m’a approché et m’a dit quelque chose d’extrêmement fondamental et qui m’a mis sur la voie de l’auto-examen et de la recherche. Il a dit, dans notre dialecte local, “Mon fils, j’espère que tu ne luttes pas contre l’esprit de l’esclavage.”
L’esclavage est un état d’esprit qui limitera toujours la progression d’une personne dans la vie. Des frontières existeront toujours pour définir l’étendue du succès et de l’augmentation de la vie d’un esclave.
L’esclavage crée l’état d’esprit selon lequel la principale source d’approvisionnement est son travail, son entreprise ou, si l’on est ministre, le sac d’offrandes. L’esclavage regarde les insuffisances de soi pour définir l’étendue de sa croissance.
Ce n’est pas ce que Dieu veut pour vous en tant que Son enfant. Il dit que vous êtes sa semence et non un esclave. Cela signifie qu’il doit y avoir un changement de mentalité. La semence de Dieu a une mentalité d’abondance. La semence de Dieu ne considère pas son travail comme sa source parce qu’il sait qu’aucun employeur ne peut jamais payer assez. La semence de Dieu définit sa richesse non pas par son salaire mais par l’héritage qu’il a en Christ.
Vous êtes une semence de Dieu.

PÉPITE D’OR: La semence de Dieu a une mentalité d’abondance. La semence de Dieu ne considère pas son travail comme sa source parce qu’il sait qu’aucun employeur ne pourra jamais le payer suffisamment. La semence de Dieu définit la richesse non pas par son salaire mais par l’héritage qu’il a en Christ.
PRIÈRE: Père bien-aimé, je te remercie pour cette vérité. Merci pour les richesses glorieuses qui sont ma part en Christ.
