James 1:13-15 (KJV); Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Temptation is misunderstood by some Christians. This misunderstanding is often demonstrated by the fact that believers assume that God tempts them to test their strength or commitment to Him.
Our theme scripture cautions us never to claim we are tempted by God.
It is doctrinally wrong to teach that God uses evil to tempt people. Temptation is an ingredient of lust. A man is tempted when he is drawn away by his own lust.
Lust is a womb that conceives sin.
Rather than claiming to have been tempted by God, we should instead understand what true hunger is and how to distinguish it from lust because when one lusts, he is drawn into temptation.
To assume that God tempts men is to imply that He birthed lust in the spirit of a man. He is not a God of lust; He creates in us desires that beget responsibility.

Nsomesa nkyamu okusomesa nti Katonda akozesa ekibi okukema abantu. Okukemebwa kirungo kya kwegomba. Omuntu akemebwa bw’awalulwa okwegomba kwe.
Okwegomba nda ezaala ekibi.
Mu kifo ky’okugamba nti okemeddwa Katonda, tulina kutegeera enjala entuufu n’okujaawula ku kwegomba, kubanga omuntu bwe yegomba, awalulwa mu kukemebwa.
Okulowooza nti Katonda akema abantu kuba kutegeeza nti yazaala okwegomba mu mwoyo gw’omuntu. Ssi Katonda wa kwegomba; atutondamu okwagala okuzaala obuvunaanyizibwa.

Yakobo 1:13-15; Omuntu weena ku araayohibwe, arekye kugira ati: Naayohibwa Ruhanga; ahakuba Ruhanga tabaasa kwohibwa kibi, kandi nawe tayosya muntu; kwonka omuntu weena ayohibwa, yaabeihwabeihwa okwetenga kwe, kwamwosyosya. Bwanyima okwetenga okwo, ku kuheza kutwara enda, kuzaara ekibi; n’ekibi ku kikura, kizaara okufa.
Okwohibwa nikwetegyerezibwa kubi Abakristaayo abamwe. Okutetegyereza oku nikureebwa omu baikiriza abarikuteekateeka ngu nibohibwa Ruhanga kugyeza amaani gaabo nari okwehayo kwaabo ahariwe.
Omutwe gw’ebyahandiikirwe byaitu nigutwehanangiriza kutateekateeka ngu nitwohibwa Ruhanga.
N’enyegyesa egwiire kwegyesa ngu Ruhanga nakozesa ekibi kwoha omuntu. Okwohibwa kwiine akakwaate n’okweteenga. Omuntu nayohibwa ku arikutwaarwa ebyeteengo bye eby’omubiri.
Okweteenga n’enda erikutwaara ekibi.
Omu mwanya gw’okugira ngu twohiibwe Ruhanga, tushemereire kwetegyereza eki enjara ehikire eri kandi n’okugitaanisa n’okweteenga ahabw’okuba omuntu ku arikweteenga, nataaha omu kwohibwa.
Okuteekateeka ngu Ruhanga nayoha abantu n’okumanyisa ngu akazaara okweteenga omu mwoyo w’omuntu. Ti Ruhanga w’okweteenga; natuhangamu okweteenga okurikuzaara obuvunanizibwa.

Yakobo 1:13-15 (KJV); Mtu ajaribiwapo, asiseme, Ninajaribiwa na Mungu; maana Mungu hawezi kujaribiwa na maovu, wala yeye mwenyewe hamjaribu mtu yeyote. Halafu ile tamaa ikiisha kuchukua mimba huzaa dhambi, na ile dhambi ikiisha kukomaa huzaa mauti.
Baadhi ya Wakristo hawaelewi majaribu. Kutokuelewa huku mara nyingi huonyeshwa na ukweli kwamba waumini hudhani kwamba Mungu huwajaribu ili kujaribu nguvu zao au kujitolea kwao kwake.
Andiko letu kuu linatuonya kamwe tusidai tunajaribiwa na Mungu.
Ni makosa katika mafundisho kufundisha kwamba Mungu hutumia uovu kuwajaribu watu. Majaribu ni kiungo cha tamaa. Mtu hujaribiwa anapovutwa na tamaa yake mwenyewe.
Tamaa ni tumbo la uzazi linalochukua mimba ya dhambi.
Badala ya kudai kuwa tumejaribiwa na Mungu, badala yake tunapaswa kuelewa njaa ya kweli ni nini na jinsi ya kuitofautisha na tamaa kwa sababu mtu anapotamani, anavutwa kwenye majaribu.
Kudhani kwamba Mungu huwajaribu wanadamu ni kumaanisha kwamba alizaa tamaa katika roho ya mwanadamu. Yeye si Mungu wa tamaa; Anaumba ndani yetu matamanio ambayo huzaa wajibu.
