Exodus 24:12-13 (KJV); And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them. And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God.
Our theme scripture tells us that when the Lord told Moses to go up to Him on the mountain, the purpose was to hand over to Moses “tables of stone, a law and commandments” which the Lord had written so that Moses would teach them to the children of Israel.
These represented Moses’ ministry. The Bible says in John 1:17 that the law was given by Moses.
In Exodus 24:18, the Bible further reveals that Moses spent forty days and nights in the presence of God.
The Apostle Paul says in Romans 12:7 that we should “wait on our ministering.”
The experience by Moses of spending many days and nights in the presence of God defines what it means to wait on God for your ministry.
You have a definite part to play in God’s divine plan for this world. This part becomes clear and distinct when you learn to wait on God; to spend time with Him so that you can understand His heart, ways and plans.
If you have questions about what you were called to be, wait on God; if you want to transition from the called to the chosen, wait on God; if you want to know the key milestones of your life and ministry, wait on God.

Kutoka 24:12-13 (KJV); BWANA akamwambia Musa, Njoo huku juu kwangu mlimani, uwe huku; nami nitakupa mbao za mawe, na ile sheria, na hiyo amri niliyoiandika; ili uwafundishe. Musa akaondoka na Yoshua mtumishi wake; Musa akapanda mlimani kwa Mungu.
Maandiko ya mada yanatuambia kwamba wakati Bwana alipomwambia Musa apande kwenda kwake mlimani, kusudi lilikuwa ni kumkabidhi Musa “vibao vya mawe, sheria na amri” ambazo Bwana alikuwa ameziandika ili Musa awafundishe wana wa Israeli.
Hizi ziliwakilisha huduma ya Musa. Biblia inasema katika Yohana 1:17 kwamba torati ilitolewa na Musa.
Katika Kutoka 24:18, Biblia inafunua zaidi kwamba Musa alitumia siku arobaini, mchana na usiku katika uwepo wa Mungu.
Mtume Paulo anasema katika Warumi 12:7 kwamba tunapaswa “kungojea huduma yetu.”
Uzoefu wa Musa wa kukaa siku nyingi mchana na usiku katika uwepo wa Mungu unafafanua maana ya kumngoja Mungu kwa ajili ya huduma yako.
