Luke 9:49-50 (KJV); And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbade him, because he followeth not with us. And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.
There are Christians who assume that the Lord can only teach men in their camp or in the manner that He taught those of that camp.
This was the error of John and the disciples in our theme scripture. They forbade a man from casting out devils in Jesus’ name because they had not seen that man in their meetings or following Christ.
You must understand that God in His infinite wisdom has provided for those who have no proximity and access to what you hear every day. Even outside the camp, He is raising and teaching men.
There are people in the farthest corners of this world who have no access to Youtube, Facebook, smartphones and the gadgets to enable them easily access the message of what God is doing in our day. In a sense, they are outside the camp.
But God has not forgotten them. He is teaching them like He taught this man that the disciples forbade from casting out demons. He is revealing Himself to them, opening their eyes to spiritual realities and explaining to them the mysteries of the Kingdom.
When the light in them starts to shine forth for the world to see, it would be erroneous of us to question the authority by which they minister if their Message is Christ.
Because we do not limit God in how He ministers to the saints, we can say with Christ that he that is not against us is for us.

MAISHA NJE YA KAMBI – 2
Mtume Grace Lubega
Luka 9:49-50 (KJV); Yohana akajibu, akamwambia; Bwana mkubwa, tuliona mtu anatoa pepo kwa jina lako; tukamkataza, kwa sababu hafuatani na sisi. Yesu akamwambia, msimkataze, kwa kuwa yeye ambaye si kinyume chenu yu upande wenu.
Kuna Wakristo wanaodhani kwamba Bwana anaweza tu kuwafundisha wanadamu katika kambi yao au kwa njia ambayo aliwafundisha wale wa kambi hiyo.
Hili lilikuwa kosa la Yohana na wanafunzi katika andiko letu kuu. Walimkataza mtu kutoa pepo kwa jina la Yesu kwa sababu hawakumwona mtu huyo kwenye mikutano yao au akimfuata Kristo.
Lazima uelewe kwamba Mungu katika hekima yake isiyo na kikomo amewatosheleza wale ambao hawana ukaribu na ufikiaji wa kile unachosikia kila siku. Hata nje ya kambi, Yeye anainua na kufundisha watu.
Kuna watu katika pembe za mbali zaidi za dunia hii ambao hawana uwezo wa kufikia Youtube, Facebook, simujanja na vifaa vya kisasa ili kuwawezesha kupata kwa urahisi ujumbe wa kile ambacho Mungu anafanya katika siku zetu. Kwa njia fulani, wako nje ya kambi.
Lakini Mungu hajawasahau. Anawafundisha kama alivyomfundisha mtu huyu ambaye wanafunzi walimkataza kutoa pepo. Anajifunua kwao, akifungua macho yao kwa mambo halisi ya kiroho na kuwafafanulia mafumbo ya Ufalme.
Nuru ndani yao inapoanza kuangaza ili ulimwengu uone, itakuwa ni makosa kwetu kuhoji mamlaka ambayo kwao wanahudumu kama Ujumbe wao ni Kristo.
Kwa sababu hatumwekei mipaka Mungu katika jinsi anavyowahudumia watakatifu, tunaweza kusema pamoja na Kristo kwamba yeye asiye kinyume chetu yuko upande wetu.
