As a minister of the gospel, it is important to ask this question, “why do people obey you and why don’t they?”
If you give an instruction on the altar and it only lasts between the altar and the door, you must examine yourself.
Why is this important?
It is because authority flows from the man in whom God has worked. It is the mark of one who is dealt with by God. In our theme scripture, Paul is careful not to speak of things that Christ has not done in him and through him. This wisdom is what made the Gentiles obedient in word and deed.
Men who do not function with authority are usually those not chastised of spirit. Others struggle to increase in life because they do not allow the spirit of God to kill them. Unless a seed dies and is buried, it cannot bear much fruit (John 12:24).
Men of authority live the message that they preach. That is why when the disciples first heard Jesus speaking, they said, “He taught as one who had authority. (Matthew 7:29)” Why? He was the Word that He taught.

Lwaki kino kya mugaso?

Warumi 15:18 (KJV); Maana sitathubutu kutaja neno asilolitenda Kristo kwa kazi yangu, Mataifa wapate kutii, kwa neno au kwa tendo.
Kama mhudumu wa injili, ni muhimu kuuliza swali hili, “kwa nini watu wanakutii na kwa nini hawakutii?”
Ukitoa maagizo juu ya madhabahu na yanadumu kati ya madhabahu na mlango tu, lazima ujichunguze mwenyewe.
Kwa nini hili ni muhimu?
Ni kwa sababu mamlaka hutiririka kutoka kwa mtu ambaye Mungu amefanya kazi ndani yake. Ni alama ya mtu anayeshughulikiwa na Mungu. Katika andiko letu la mada, Paulo yuko mwangalifu asizungumze juu ya mambo ambayo Kristo hajafanya ndani yake na kupitia kwake. Hekima hii ndiyo iliyowafanya watu wa mataifa kuwa watiifu kwa maneno na matendo.
Wanadamu ambao hawana mamlaka kwa kawaida ni wale ambao Mungu hajaiadhibu roho zao.
Wengine hupambana kuongezeka katika maisha haya kwa sababu hawajamruhusu Roho wa Mungu kuwaua. Mbegu isipokufa na kuzikwa haiwezi kuzaa matunda mengi (Yohana 12:24).
Watu wenye mamlaka huishi ujumbe wanaohubiri. Ndiyo maana wanafunzi walipomsikia Yesu akisema kwa mara ya kwanza, walisema, “Alifundisha kama mtu mwenye mamlaka.” (Mathayo 7:29) Kwa nini? Yeye alikuwa Neno alilofundisha.
