The Scars Of Christ
Apostle Grace Lubega
Galatians 6:17(KJV); From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.
Paul bore the scars of the Lord Jesus in him and not on him. These are the true marks of the Lord.
A Christian who bears the marks of the Lord IN him has known Christ in the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto his death (Philippians 3:10).
This distinction between marks IN and marks ON draws the line between the things that we suffer because of the gospel and the things that some suffer because of their ignorance in the things of the gospel.
It is one thing to be persecuted for your faith, it is another to suffer persecution because of your zeal without wisdom.
There are men who bear marks because they walked outside the way of love.
Some bear marks because they attempted to restore their brethren without following the patterns laid down by the scriptures.
Some bear marks because they abused authorities in the name of their allegiance to Christ, for example, disrespect for parents because one claims to account to only God. These are not the marks of Christ.
The true marks of Christ paint the price of the gospel. They are the sacrifices that other men can read and learn from.

GOLDEN NUGGET:
The true marks of Christ paint the price of the gospel. They are the sacrifices that other men can read and learn from.
PRAYER: My loving Father, I thank you for this Word. Thank you for the grace to spend and be spent for the gospel. My heart and mind are sold out to you. In me is the testimony that Christ is mine and I am His. My life is a story of sacrifice and the great labours of love for the sake of the kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
